Robert Lambert National League Next Year?
Speedball replied to Damon's topic in National League Speedway
Interesting that the Young Stars are to announce an "exciting" signing tomorrow morning. I'm really hoping it's Robert Lambert. Couldn't think of anyone more exciting at NL level. -
Tom Young has signed on loan from Scunny

Anglia Junior League - Fixtures & Results Only!

Agree with the heat times previously given. I got 65.34 for Heat 5 and I thought that Heat 6 was awarded due to Strudwick's crash. -

King's Lynn beat Mildenhall 22-11 in last night's fixture. I can provide heat details when I get home this evening if anyone wants them. Nick Laurence top scored for the Lightning with 9 (3 ride max). -
Scott Campos confirmed as the final rider. Welcome back Scott. Young Stars open their season away to Scunny on April 9th and then host USA Future on April 11th
-
Well I know you're coming to King's Lynn on April 11th and am looking forward to it The USA Dream Team meeting last season certainly was "eventful" but cracking entertainment until the weather spoilt things.
-
Looks like the Young Stars are just looking for the final reserve and I'd be very surprised if it isn't Scott Campos on 5.27 1. Cockle (7.47) 2. Johnson (5.52) 3. Knight (6.59) 4. Lowe (5.62) 5. Kerr (5.55) 6. Stokes (3.71) 7. Campos (5.27) - TBC Looks a pretty solid team that should hold it's own at the NA. Hopefully Knight and Kerr will be the big improvers. Also see we've drawn that lot from just down the road in the KO Cup. Bring it on

Fantastic write up Duffyscouse Kicking myself for not going now. Talked myself out of it after seeing the score on Friday night. Just couldn't see Mildenhall getting anywhere close. How wrong was I. I'm so pleased how the season has turned out for Mildenhall. If any bunch of fans deserve some good times, it has to be that mob. However, I'll make no secret that I wanted the Scunfield boys to win. Lots of admiration of the team they put together this season and of course especially pleased for young Crumpie Nielsen

Don't think he rode for the Young Stars at Newport According to Live Updates the Young Stars team was: Adam Allott, R/R for James Cockle, Tom Stokes, Scott Campos, Lewis Kerr, Rhys Naylor and Sam Woods. I was told he got dropped for the remainder of the season. Why, I have no idea but I certainly hope to see him back as a Young Star in 2012.

Kings Lynn Young Stars Vs American Touring Team
Speedball replied to SteveEvans's topic in National League Speedway
I think so. Not heard of any changes I hear the quality of the updates for this meeting has increased ten fold. No more of that Mungo and Bagpuss rubbish, the Dream Team of updaters are on the case -

Don't worry Sandie, I think we've actually met once before, several years back in Bydgoszcz. My mate and I sat with your lot in Sektor B and I think stayed in the same hotel My user name on here used to be AJH before changing my e-mail address made my profile inaccessible for some reason Anyway, looking forward to tonight and seeing how Armstrong, Woods and the Dream Team lads get on. And even better, pass away a few hours before heading off to Montenegro for the England game -

Sgp App For Iphone
Speedball replied to Bagpuss's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't know if anyone else has seen but the new Speedway GP app by Vivid Games has been released. Downloaded it yesterday and it's not bad. The full app costs £1.99 and there is a free "lite" version also available from iTunes. Pretty easy to get the hang of and won the World Title controlling Bomber in my first season (see it's very realistic) It's very much like the Techland offerings on the PC a few years back but nice to finally see a speedway offering on the iPhone. Hope it's a success Edit - Bit of blurb here Link to iTunes Store -
Well just to add to the rush, you can count 3 of us coming along. Can't believe it's the last NL league fixture of the season already
-
No probs Sue. It was very late that I decided to go tonight. Cracking meeting but spoilt by the injuries to Darren and Lewis. I'm told Darren has a broken femur and Lewis a badly swollen ankle but hopefully not broken. Killer Cat - the scores are on my Twitter page (see link above). I'm on my phone so can't paste them across to here.
-
Doing brief updates on www.twitter.com/Speedball74 if anyone gives a toss lol
-
I have PM'd Sue about doing updates but not heard anything. Do folks want them on here?
-
Looking forward to this one. Should be a belter. Think the Young Stars will need Jake on his Hackney form for this one and hopefully Olly and Lewis will get amongst the points as well. I can see another last heat decider and a certain James Brundle coming back to haunt the Stars

King's Lynn vs Hackney Hawks
Speedball replied to Parsloes 1928 nearly's topic in National League Speedway
First off, best wishes to Adam Lowe for a full and speedy recovery I don't think last night's meeting was a classic by any stretch of the imagination but still enjoyable. I've seen some absolutely belting NL meetings over the past couple of seasons. Especially pleasing to see Jake Knight on the gas. I don't think there has ever been any doubt about his speed when in fresh air, but his gating and overtaking were the areas he needed to improve on. He looked very sharp from the tapes and not afraid not to mix when behind (though correctly excluded for bringing down Ben Morley). Impressed with Tom Stokes as well. Another who looks like he has come on leaps and bounds through the winter STRA sessions. Has a slightly awkward style on the bike which I'm sure will improve with more experience but you can't fault his bravery when passing Magic Mason in Heat 7. Credit also to David for leaving Tom with enough room to race fairly. I've seen a few NL "older heads" close the door quite hard on some of the young whipper-snappers and they end up in all sorts of trouble. It was great to see the famous Hawks race jacket back on track and well worth their point on the night. A tough debut for Brandon Freemantle and it looked like being the same for Marc Owen after his first ride. After that though, I was really impressed. All over Mallett in his 2nd ride and then his final two rides, brilliant from the back. There is an air of Mark Loram about him and he's a real pleasure to watch Overall, considering the loss of Adam and the slow starts from Lewis and Olly, it was a pretty good result for the Young Stars. And the best thing is, we know there is plenty more to come from them all -

Be great to see the Young Stars finally take to the track. I'm hoping this season will see great strides forward for Lewis Kerr, Oli Rayson and Jake Knight. Out of all the Young Stars, I feel they have the most scope for improvement It will also be my first time watching Marc Owen and Brandon Freemantle race so looking forward to that as well. C'mon the Stars! -
Delighted that Olly Rayson has joined up as a full time King's Lynn Star. Put in a number of good performances at the end of last season. Not seen any mention yet on this thread of young Andrew Ross being given a call up to the NL squad. Saw him at the STRA practice a couple of weeks back and he looks to have a lot of potential

There seem to be plenty of rumours going around that Lewis Blackbird won't be riding for the Young Stars in 2011 Any comment Dale?
