But Kyle Howarth was on the EDR list from the start, that's the point SteveBrum was making. Lambert wasn't on the declared draft list at the start so can't subsequently be added after the event. Any replacement for Kerr would have to be someone on that list and hasn't been picked.
-
Thing is if Coventry drop either Sarjeant or Bates, neither could replace Kerr as both ride for Thursday PL teams. Would have to be Roynon.
-
If the latest rumour of Kerr going to Coventry because of our change of race night is true, it better be for a top draw rider. Getting rid of a local lad and one of the top EDR's for Bjarne Pedersen, that would be a hell of a risky call and not very popular one at that.

Good signing for the Young Stars. With the increased points limit, needed a little more top end firepower. Who is Nathan an asset of?
-
Ok I'll take the bait. I'm guessing you are hinting at Lynn and the rider is Kerr at Ipswich?
-
Great news. After the news of Niels departure, it was important to get Robert signed up. By far the most entertaining rider at the AFA last season
-
TBF I think the press officer has just got married so is probably away on honeymoon. I think the biggest problem was that Niels decision caught them out. So I'm told, Niels had given every indication he was likely to be back and every team permutation featured him in it. Now I guess it's back to the drawing board.

Did well in the 2014 ELRC at Lynn but has the tendency to go missing during meetings when the heat is on. Certainly no Niels but not many are. Beggars can't be choosers though!!!
-
Pretty depressing when probably the best we could hope for is Batchelor at No 1. Hoping for a season of progression for Lambert, Kerr & Rose and anything else is a bonus at this stage.
-
Possibly news of a signing tomorrow judging from Gav Caney's latest tweet @GavinCaney: Massive #speedway news coming your way in tomorrow's paper. Buy @EDP24 (main story in all editions) to read an @officialKLstars exclusive. Edit - beat me to it Phil. Hoping it's the announcement of Niels
-
Looks like Jason Doyle is returning to Swindon. Imperative we get Niels signed up for 2016 now!!

Layne Cupitt (3:00) just announced for the Young Stars http://www.kingslynnstars.co/2015/11/11/young-stars-welcome-back-cupitt/

Speak of the devil. Official confirmation is now here along with the signing of Layne Cupitt for 2016. http://www.kingslynnstars.co/2015/11/11/young-stars-welcome-back-cupitt/

Not seen any official confirmation but assuming the Young Stars will be on track for 2016. Really enjoyed watching the continued development of the team, especially Tom Stokes (7.10), Josh Bailey (6.02) and Ryan Kinsley (5.13). Hopefully they're the first three names on next year's team sheet. I think Layne Cupitt is having some rides in Australia over the winter so hopefully that will see him develop further and would slot back in nicely on a 3.00pt average. The only disappointment was missing out on the signing of Jack Thomas. Would have been another promising local lad to add to the asset list.

They do indeed - available here in CSV format - https://www.rugby.gov.uk/downloads/file/492/asset_register

I will be very surprised if Niels isn't announced at his "evening with" event on the 6th. Can't see that being put on if it wasn't nailed on that he's back next year. Will be awkward for all involved if he isn't.

Heard this morning that 6 man teams are being proposed to help tackle the rider shortage. Could be an interesting AGM ahead.

"passed" not "past" This is fun, keep going

Second Choice Elite League Club?
Speedball replied to John Leslie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wouldn't say I have a second team as such but would like to see Belle Vue win the play-offs. Poole, Coventry and Swindon have all won the league title in recent seasons whereas Belle Vue have been a bit starved of success recently, plus it would give them a terrific boost going into 2016 in their new stadium. -
Well it depends if we want to just compete in the league or actually try and win the bloody thing.
-
Really hope this is the case because there is nothing would give me greater pleasure in seeing Robert line-up for the Stars in 2016. We should be looking to build the team around him for the next few years at least.
-
Well if it was just a straight choice, I think you'd struggle to find to disagree with you. Think every Lynn fan would choose Lindgren (even Ludvig) Just think there should be better options available, Michelsen being one.
-
Certainly didn't give any indication that he was thinking of changing leagues. I like Freddie. Hard, committed and forceful but in all honesty on the way down now (plus like you say, can't see Wolves letting him go).
-
Mikkel Michelsen 5.67 looks great value on that average.

Seems ridiculous that the Stars season has come to an end in early September (bar one possible home meeting) so thoughts now turn to 2016. The many wrongs of last season have been discussed elsewhere so let's look forward to what 2016 can bring. As always qualifying for the play-offs should be the minimum ambition for the season. Team wise, I'd love to keep Niels and Robert though not sure how likely the latter is with all the rumours flying around.. Difficult to know what's happening with Lewis and Rory before making any decisions about them. Always an element of risk when coming back from the major injuries they suffered. Also in the case of EDR's, aren't they meant to progress into the main body after two years? In terms of assets, surely Lewis Rose and Simon Lambert should be considered for a reserve berth. Think Nick could come into the mix depending on averages. Not progressed as I'd hoped this season but at just under 5 and another's years experience under his belt, he could prove useful. Can't see Kenneth coming back and sure he'll go elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised to see him as Peterborough's No. 1 next season as I think he's now managed to get his average under 6. As for riders elsewhere, would take Thorsell if he was released from Wolves. Always competitive at Lynn and would surely increase his average. If for some reason Niels was unavailable, I'd hope we'd be in the (long) queue for Jason Doyle. Wouldn't mind seeing a couple of fresh faces come into the side. Would love to see Piotr Pawlicki, Zmarzlik or Dudek line-up for the Stars but so would everyone else and not sure Buster's too keen on the Polish option. Like Nicolaj Busk Jakobsen when I've seen him for Rye House. Fredrik Engman and Joel Andersson both look promising but maybe still a bit raw to been thrown into a full EL season. Ramble over
