  1. Very happy with the side put together when looking at realistic targets and lack of options for an out and out number 1. Nice blend of youth and experience, and more importantly no prima-donnas who will mess us around. Hopefully a good environment for Boughen to develop in as well. Riders like Iversen and Klindt should be excellent role models with their ultra professional approach. We should be solid at home. Yes away might be a struggle at times, especially in 13 & 15 but that’s where we are. Hopefully we can grow our own number one so to speak in Kvech or even Cook if we can keep him for a few seasons.
  2. Being announced and being signed are two totally different things as Courtney is finding out.
  3. I'd put Rew at Belle Vue and King in at Ipswich from what I've heard. . Can only think Brum will need to go for riders like Zagar, Bjerre etc if they can't get Musielak. Either that or pull a rabbit out of a hat somewhere (which will probably mean paying silly money).
  4. Musielak to Oxford I reckon if he's riding in the UK this year. If not there, then surely Brum.
  5. He also won the Surprise of the Season award in the end of season Ekstraliga awards. Finished 17th in the averages on 1.976 points per race (7.90 in our terms).
  6. Brennan is in but King’s staying I believe. Rew to BV I reckon.
  7. Well looking at the averages, that could mean someone like Klindt or Kvech going down into reserve if they started the season slow. Either way, throughout the season, there should be a decent reserve option available whch could be a useful option for Rob, especially if the reserve is having a good night.
  8. As we've seen from previous seasons. it's not just reserve replacement rides, it's covering rider replacement and injury replacement rides as well. It would be great to have two big hitters but there aren't that many about and I certainly don't see a strong reserve as a negative.
  9. Bomber was going to be at Lynn last season I think before Oxford stepped up. He went to Oxford and we ended up with MPT.
  10. Magic just fits: Janowski 7.02 (or Cook 6.99) Iversen 6.83 Klindt 6.59 Kvech 6.58 Lawson 6.91 Harris 6.06 Boughen 39.99 Like @Bald Blokehas mentioned before, having Magic in the side would be my preferred option as well. He would give us more top end strength for heats 13 & 15 and clearly likes the Lynn track. Got 16 from 6 rides and 14+2 from 7 rides on his two visits last season. He wouldn’t come cheap though and I’d guess Oxford would be favourites for his signature. Ben Cook would also be a decent option. Side would be 39.96 with his inclusion instead of Janowski. But his average comes from riding in the middle order, not at 1 or 5. He’d start as our No 1 which is a step up. But I do wonder if Ben might end up at Birmingham with his brother. But with either in the team (and Lawson), it should be a match for anyone at home, especially considering we saw off Sheffield, Belle Vue (albeit without Kurtz) and Leicester reasonably comfortably with a much weaker side than that. But if we don’t get Lawson and either one of Magic or Cook, that could make things tricky.
  11. I think that is exactly why the club are going with this kind of lineup. All riders with connections to the club and/or a track record of giving UK speedway respect. After all the hassles with Musielak and Tarasenko, we need a settled side. There’s nothing you can do about injuries, but you know these riders won’t mess us around.
  12. I’d say you can chuck the extra 0.99% on the end of you initial 99% Imagine so. Not big hitter will mean a strong 6 point reserve
  13. Pleased with that. Local lad with great talent. Had a tough end to the season but hopefully comes back refreshed and confident for start of next season. He should always have a strong reserve partner to take the pressure off a bit and Rob will definitely guide him.
  14. Not sure if you saw my edited post but it was four and probably should have been five but for the Leicester call off. That was re-arranged for early September on the week kids went back to school. I agree that clubs should do more and would have liked us to have staged a round, but it’s not right to say we did nothing.
  15. Lynn put on some 2nd halves for 250cc & 500cc classes on at least two occasions, possibly three. I was told these were done instead of staging a round. Got my first sight of William Cairns riding as well. Very impressive. Edit: Just looked back over my programmes and 2nd halves staged after Ipswich (25/07), Sheffield (29/07), Oxford (22/08) & Sheffield (29/08). All done to coincide with school holidays.
  16. Thank you 👍 I think Rob was reluctant to give too much away until everything is signed and sealed. I know from speaking to him earlier in the season, the team he had lined up for the 2024 season pre BSPL annual conference ended up being different after it (Harris going to Oxford I think, so we ended up with MPT).
  17. Thank you mate. Where are you? ”I’m lost” 🤣
  18. We chatted to Rob last night on the Pride of the East podcast. Discussed the 2024 season and looked forward to 2025. He was very open and honest and never ducked any of our questions. The link below should take you to the start of the interview if you want to miss our regular quiz and SGP chat and it’s free to listen.
  19. I think you can rule out any Poles next season after the Musielak and Tarasenko shenanigans.
  20. Huckenbeck would come in on 8 point average next season. The BSPL put together a list of assessed averages for riders who’ve not ridden over here since COVID and it’s based on their previous season. This is how Lynn signed Kvech on a 6 despite him being in the GPs. If we were signing Jan for the first time in 2025, he’d be on an 8. Same rule would apply to Kai.
  21. I do as well but as @TTThas mentioned, where do they come from? Certainly there is average improvement in Lawson, Klindt, Basso & Kvech given injury free seasons. Lawson is like a No 1 at Lynn (and indeed has been before). Basso still put 0.64 on his average despite his stop start season and everyone can see Jan’s potential, especially now he’s been to all the tracks at least once.
  22. If Lynn could tempt Robert back, that would certainly put Rowe back in my team: Lambert - 7.61 (7.81 - 2.5%) Iversen 6.73 Klindt 6.59 Kvech 6.52 Lawson 7.03 Rowe 3.71 Jenkins (RS) 38.19 Still have 1.8 to play with but realistically where do you use it with riders likely to be available. Could obviously use Basso to replace any of the 6 pointers but think I’d stick with those personally. Ben wasn’t great away this season. Others likely to be more competitive away from home.
  23. I’d love Robert Lambert but can’t see it so I imagine we will go strength in depth. That might see Rowe move on simply because we might be able to fit a low 6 pointer at reserve. Lawson - 7.03 (7.21 - 2.5%) Iversen - 6.73 Klindt - 6.59 Basso - 6.89 Kvech - 6.52 Harris - 6.21 (6.37 - 2.5%) Jenkins (RS) 39.97 if average remains 40.00 Take Harris out for someone like Mattias Nielsen on a 5.00 if average drops to 39.00
