  1. Try Lindsay Gray (lindsay.gray@tesco.net) Sure that is where I got my copy from.
  2. Those under 3:31 from 2016 (brace yourself): Lee Payne 2.68 Zack Wajknecht 2.63 (at Swindon) Ellis Perks 2.38 (at Rye House) Nathan Greaves 2.32 Oliver Greenwood 2.12 Josh Bailey 2.05 Dan Halsey 2.00 Danyon Hume 2.00 Danny Phillips 2.00 Darryl Ritchings 2.00 Tom Stokes 2.00 (now retired) Greaves and Bailey are the obvious choices but believe Greaves is heading elsewhere.
  3. Didn't go tonight but apparently it was announced as something like 3.31 but I make it 3.16 from the team building averages on the SGB site. I know Lambert had a reduction in his average, wondering if Rose has the same?
  4. Think Batchelor will do much better this season providing he can stay injury free. With last season's broken arm he missed all pre UK season testing and came into a struggling team cold. If he can have a good couple of months in Oz and start fit and well in March, I'm confident we'll see a better rider than last season.
  5. With that seemingly obvious 6 names it leaves 3.16 for the last rider. Holder 12.53 Lambert 8.70 Batch 7.36 Porsing 6.99 Rose 6.12 Huckenbeck 5.14 If we does use Bailey (2.05), that's 1.09 under. As much as I like Rose, I'd have been inclined to go for Palm Toft who was excellent as a guest for us last year. That said, very happy with those 6 names and would back Josh to the hilt if he got the chance.
  6. Nathan Greaves to IOW so can take him out of the equation. Like Nathan, came across as a really nice lad when I spoke to him. Hope the move works out well for him. Might find out more info on Friday but guessing Bailey & Kinsley will be in the team to join Taylor Hampshire. Need someone to fill the heatleader slots.
  7. Cheers all, given me a good laugh this morning which is much needed given the dose of man flu that's sprung upon me. We all have our thoughts and ideas about how the club can improve and move forward. Biased I know but always felt that as a bunch of fans we're pretty fair. We'd much rather be less successful and do it the right way rather than win at all costs (no names required). We had a great spell in PL from 2005 to 2009 winning pretty much everything bar the 4's. On the most part, we've held our own in the EL. Playoff contenders and the 2014 season will always be the one that got away. What has been clear is that things had gone stale behind the scenes. Too much going through the motions and taking things for granted. With the team I'm expecting, it should put things right on the track after last season. Hopefully Rob & Dale can inject some spirit back into the club. Also hope they have a good look at what teams like Glasgow & IOW are doing. Getting the fans involved and building a community club. We can all play a part too. Norfolk folk on the whole are a pretty reserved bunch but it would be nice to see some passion and colour from the fans as well. Maybe it's time for some first bend ultras Let's see what Friday brings!!
  8. Relieved to see no Holder at Somerset. Surely a choice between us, Leicester or Belle Vue should he still want to ride in the UK.
  9. Think you are getting Twitter and Facebook confused. This is what Jan has put on Facebook: Countdown to the start of the season has begun! I can't wait to be back at the tapes in the Premiership after a year out! All soon to be revealed... I am still looking for a Championship team spot too, and anyone who maybe willing to offer sponsorship. #speedway #zuzel #premiershipspeedway #championshipspeedway #britishspeedway #circleracing #readyformarch @stevethewomble
  10. Huckenbeck returns. Very happy with that. Seeing some of the riders on higher averages, he should definitely push on after a season racing here. Poor at times but when he's good, boy is he good
  11. It was Maksym Drabik who came with Wroclaw at the start of the season. Won both his first two rides in style then nearly wiped out Niels and did wipe out Wilko. He'd be entertaining Think he had some bad injury that kept him out of the World U21's (broken leg or thigh I think). Unfortunately I doubt there is any chance of getting him over.
  12. That's the team I'm hoping for if there is no Niels (which seems likely)
  13. As mentioned earlier on the thread, I don't think there is any point building teams to a 40 point limit. Taken from the Buxton website: "At the moment I'm building a team to around the 35 point limit, as there's a strong rumour that the limit is coming down from 40 and could even be as low as 35! Anything higher than 35 would actually be a bigger bonus to Buxton, because I've left one spot open at number 2 and the final decision on the points limit could yet see Buxton have a very good rider or an average one at number 2! Personally I'm hoping for around 36."
  14. Not when you read the whole press release in context: "The 27 year-old had initially been set to celebrate his decade in the sport last summer, but put the meeting on hold due to issues with dates. Lambert, who has raced for Lynn in six seasons at different levels, said: “We’re all systems go for the upcoming season at King’s Lynn. “I’ve got a lot of ideas and I'm hoping to get a good line-up. We’ve got some strong riders in the pipeline, so hopefully we’ll be in a position to start making some announcements soon." The upcoming season is in reference to his testimonial being postponed last year. I wouldn't be adverse to having Simon in the team. He's always been good value at Lynn. It's his away form that is the issue. Given the choice of him or Huckenbeck on a just over 5, it's Kai every time for me.
  15. Well I'll disagree, think he is the right man for the job. Been in and around the club for years. Ran the Young Stars on a shoestring budget. Helped bring on the likes of Kerr, Rose & Bailey. Seemed to have done well at Peterborough as well. Plus let's face it, Buster and Rob know him better than any of us on here. Both as ex team managers should know whether he's up to the task.
  16. You may well get your wish if Dale takes over as Stars TM as expected.
  17. I've only seen Shanes race in the National League but definitely like what I've seen. A real trier and a great entertainer. Gave the home straight fans at Lynn a Zorro type celebration after his final ride when visiting with Kent. He also comes across as a good lad who is working hard to get somewhere in the sport. Hope it works out for him.
  18. Think that's unfair. Near the end of last season he rode really well (in fact the best I'd seen him ride for a while). 12+1 v Rye (H) and 9+3 v Kent (A) spring to mind. Plus with such a young team, he is excellent in the pits. Not everyone can be a 10 point superstar.
  19. That's what worries me. KK seems nailed on for Poole. The only one I could think of other than Holder is Kylmakorpi. I love watching him ride at Lynn. Fantastic style on the bike. Not sure about him being an out and out number 1 though. Hopefully Niels says yes!!
  20. That's my thinking as well. No way could we fit Iversen, King & Lambert in the same side without being stupidly weak elsewhere. Reckon that means a top three of Iversen/Holder, Lambert & Batchelor.
  21. I'll be very surprised if the limit is still 40 with new teams coming in. Would think it would fall to something like 36-38.
  22. Would have loved Jenkins to come to Lynn but chuffed for Mildenhall that he's chosen to stay there rather than take the likely offers from the richer clubs. I'm sure he wouldn't have been short of offers. He's definitely got something about him. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses.
