I too have Eurosport as part of my BT package, whic iincludes BT sport and have resisted all their attempts to get me on a new contract once I found I would lose Eurosport if I did.

Are YOU missing British Speedway?
Oafski replied to Robinh88's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
To be honest I would rather go and watch Grass Track now. -
Eurosport did a good job with the British Superbike championship and a couple of rounds were shown live on Quest, sometimes in tandem with Eurosport.
-
Green- Just been serviced, Black- Needs an Oil Change, Red- About to blow up.
-
But if the former Rye House Promotion own the track then it's unlikely that the BSPA would want to see them getting any return on their investment by renting the track to someone else.
-
Well as far as I'm concerned anyone who can watch it is lucky. since the Retune back in March I have lost Channel 95 and cannot get it back as the Communal Ariel on our flats is not up to the job.
-
But no "Weekly Round Up" this week.

Will Definitely give the MX a go, the last time I went to a live event it was called Scrambling, rediscovered live Grass Track last year after a 50 year gap and will be going again this year. Biggest problem I have in following all the disciplines of Motorsport that I enjoy apart from cost is my ability to drive/ride long distances, spectate at an event and drive/ride home again afterwards, on the same day.
-
Now I have the answer to the the question "Why a KTM Dealereship" , because not only can we sell you an off road bike but provide somewhere you can ride it as well. Truly inspired thinking especially as the weather would need to be really dire to cause cancellation of a meeting and I would imagine Stadium Moto X is likely to stimulate more spectator interest than Speedway. Back in the mid to late 60s we used to go to Rye House and watch Go Kart Racing which used to finish before the Speedway started at 4pm on Sundays so got to watch both 2 and 4 wheel sport in one day and I would imagine that the management are not blind to the potential crossover today either. Regarding the Speedway, if I find my viewing experience is not to my liking I will go to Peterborough instead, despite the distance as having visited a few times as an away supporter of Rye House I found I preferred it as a venue.

It takes as long as it takes to type "Work on the Track and Stadium Improvements has been severely hampered by the adverse weather conditions experienced this year but we are confident everything will be sorted for our Season Opening Meeting".

Rye House V Belle Vue 16/08/2017
Oafski replied to JamesM09's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pretty much why I've stopped going. -
Out of the remaining six scheduled home meetings only one is on a Saturday, four on a Wednesday and one Bank holiday Monday so Saturday night track has sadly become a misnomer.
-
Not wishing to pick an argument but we got turned over at home by Swindon in the KOC so that makes 2 home defeats. There a are potentially 3 "Banana Skins" in the coming home meetings, Swindon and Belle Vue who have both tasted success at Hoddesdon and Poole when surely Eddie Kennett will be out to prove a point one way or the other. Time will tell.

On a BT Box I haven't found a way to do Timer recording, have to use the Programme Guide so always record the following programme as well, just to be sure.

Swindon V Rye House Thursday 20th July Sgbp
Oafski replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes but at least Rye bring a different team each time they come. -
I have.

I think some are being a bit harsh on Mr Schroeck as he appears to have built a really good team spirit and massively improved the interaction with fans. To me this outweighs the occasional poor tactical decision as long as he learns from the mistakes and doesn't keep repeating them.

So happy to be proved wrong about the Stadium. Transformed from Wednesday and what a cracking start to the Season.
-
I don't think that anyone doubts the Management's commitment to making Rye House one of the "go to" venues and they have proved this by building an exciting team with league winning potential but it is the implementation of the Stadium Improvements that causes concern. One look at what is happening there is enough to see that when completed it will be a good facility but progress has been painfully slow. Yesterday evening there was substantially less available spectator accommodation than at the last meeting last season. The lack of a Refs box opposite the Start/Finish line can be temporarily sorted by erecting one of those Access Towers and no doubt the stands on the third and forth bends can soon be erected from their trailers but to my untrained eye the banking on turns one and two still needs a fair bit of work. The other bone of contention, the Car Park is still full of potholes and there was a largish pool of water at the Stadium end.Hopefully the Off Track action will have been as Dynamic as the On Track stuff by the time BT Sport come to visit but it in my view it will take a minor miracle to have the place "ready" for Saturdays anticipated Large Crowd. I sincerely look forward to being proved wrong.

The Stand that used to be in front of the Ref's Box and the Ref''s Box are missing. No access to the First and Second Bend Banking which is still incomplete and the stands that were on the Third and Fourth bends are still in their trailers but with 2 days and 22 hours to go still plenty of time to get it sorted.
