ignoring the pathetic derogatory comments regarding Julie Mahoney how is she saying things with no foundation. All she has done to date is report what she has been told by the BSPA. if Swindon hadnt done a deal with Batch and if batch had kept his mouth shut the decision most likely would have gone the other way. If you can afford him, buy him, if not find another rider you can afford.
-
you did. It was the last paragraph that I found the most enjoyable.
-
im sure if Lynn had made an illegal approach they would have been completely open and honest about it and mentioned it in an official press release.... ;-)
-
if that's the best you can do I suggest you scurry off back to the hole you came out of.
-
who would they have dropped him for?!
-
doesnt matter will fit either way :-)
-
batch on twitter a few weeks back. "UK deal sorted" #didyougetpermissiontospeaktohim? #illegalapproach #swindondoingtherighthing they have. They've said Swindon have to buy Batch.
-
yes well done Swindon. Make a sensible offer for Hans and get a number 1 for next year or pull out of trying to buy him and try to speak to a rider you'll never get permission to talk to. Excellent work.
-
so at no point has anybody from Swindon Speedway had any contact with Batch regarding a deal to ride for them in 2013?
-
im sure the 10 or so that normally attend will be sorely missed.
-
you're clearly one of the very few who still want to believe that. Peterborough own the assets so its got nothing to do with being ahead of the game. The advantage of having assets is that you have the first opportunity to speak to them instead if waiting for permission (if you choose to do things the correct way)....
-
so when Batch tweeted that he had done a deal in the UK who was that with?
-
simple question. Did you do a deal with Batch before Peterborough have you permission to talk to their asset?
-
i forgot Swindon put the interests ofBritish Speedway before their own. How silly of me.
-
Plenty saw what he put he twitter before hastily deleting it.
-
i don't think peterborough would be too concerned about not getting the miserly loan fee for these two if it came to that. Swindon would be the far worse off in that situation
-
they believe in having first refusal I. Their assets before another club which is quite within their rights. Could field a team full of loan riders if they wish. Makes no difference to the current debate
-
might be the case but its fairly obvious (going by the tweet Batch quickly removed) that financial deals have been struck between rider and club before being granted permission to speak to the rider from their parent club
-
complete garbage. Peterborough want to field the strongest line up possible but clearly there are some issues concerning Bjerre's injury and Ryan Fisher. Why should they allow other teams to sign their assetts before they are able to sort their own team out? Nobody is restricting a rider from earning a living. Lynn could have bought Puk instead of schlien but chose not to. They shouldn't have assumed they could use another teams assett for a third year on the trot without putting their hands in their pocket. Still 3 months to go before the start if the season so plenty of time for it all to get sorted. Fact is if you don't have any assetts you have to wait for riders to come available before trying to do a deal.
-
may be but it's a fairly simple principle that you don't offer a rider a place /deal without permission from the riders parent club.
-
nope, just patchett stirring. he said he has a deal sorted then quickly deleted probably when Swindon management told him to as they shouldn't be talking or striking a deal with him until peterborough allow them to. Batch has probably just landed Swindon in a bit of hot water...
-
you've got the wrong Gomolski
-
@batchattack1: Funny how I didn't even do an interview with anyone but I'm on the back page ... #wordsinmymouthanyonepossibly
-
or maybe they are just fed up with other teams expecting to be able to pay a pittence of a loan fee every year instead of investing in their own clubs and making these riders assets.
-
Stupid post of the day goes too.... Linus was first rider signed for a reason. Never in a million years would they drop him to accommodate the incredible sulk
