Not suggesting any rider races with the intent of injuring themselves but for most riders injury is at the back of their mind and won’t think twice about going for a gap. 44 year old rider who’s been retired for 8 years and is over here primarily to look after his lad may think twice.....
-
If he gates then maybe. Can’t see him putting his neck on the line going for a gap and risking injury to himself
-
Taking their time to put the best possible line up they can together working within budgetary constraints and rider availability would be my guess.
-
Berge maybe although I’m not convinced by him. Only other out of that list that you could guarantee would be better than Ulrich is summers and he’s nearer a 5 than a 4.
-
If we have 4 points or thereabouts to play with who would be a better option? Genuine question.
-
Link doesn’t work for me but I assume you’ve found one decent meeting he had at the showground to make your point but having watched him week in week out it’s pretty clear he struggles badly at the showground (and Belle Vue which is a similar flat out track). Only reason you’d sign him for oeterborough would be for his potential away....
-
Nicholls can’t ride the showground for toffee and Hans had a shocking year of injuries and personal problems so not the best examples to use
-
Also worth remembering Jason was a much better rider than Phil
-
If they are then one would assume the showground themselves also are if the parking arrangements are now the same as for any other event there?
-
Or maybe waiting on the fixture list to be finalised?
-
Yeah. Don’t think that would rule out Harris though....
-
May still be in the equation but it’s a risk.....as much as I’d love to see him back. New rider to be announced Friday isn’t one from last years team. Hoping for NKI but expecting Harris....
-
Sounds like Buzz was a realistic option until he broke his leg recently.....
-
Would rather keep BWD to be honest....
-
That’s what we thought when he signed for Peterborough..........
-
Not up to speed with such things but this bit sounds interesting? “Such a master plan must demonstrate how the functioning Showground will be retained. The loss of any existing leisure and sports facilities will not be supported unless replacement facilities are provided in accordance with policy LP30.”
-
Apparently there is an exhibition at the showground on 19th September outlining the plan for the redevelopment of the showground.....
-
No idea if it was a mistake or he genuinely wanted the track like that but after the first few meetings where the track was similar to Monday it got a lot better with it not so grippy all over and no excessive grading. Monday was just like the start of the season again.
-
The track isn’t ruined. There has been some fantastic racing on it this season but Monday wasn’t good. Seems fairly simple but the inside needs to be slicker than the outside. Then you get the quality of racing that we all want and know can be produced on that track.

Was ill for the meeting against Ipswich.....
-
Really? What’s been so awful about the season so far??

Engines rev so hard nowadays that they need time to cool down. Same with the clutches. -
