  1. apologies for not fielding a crap team again
  2. same, I was knackered and contemplating an early night but now im buzzinnnn!!!
  3. Wow, so happy and excited by this team! Few pleasant surprises, bring on April!!!
  4. Why do you say this? I would be fairly happy if that were true.
  5. Edinburgh confirmed that Theo won't be riding for them in 2014
  6. Totally agree, Dot. I think they forget sometimes that Glasgow Speedway has literally had to start from scratch again.
  7. Hmmm.... I thought we would win this won but ach well, I suppose a close meeting is better than getting yer ass whooped by other teams. Andre had a brilliant win against Lawson and Bellego so that is encouraging. Jonas is one mental rider, it was terrifying to watch him at times but I admire his effort!
  8. I wasn't talking about his average. He is coming in on a very good average. I was referring to the 28day contract.
  9. His last average with Workington was 5.95 so you may well be right.
  10. We will have about 5 points to play with once the new averages come out so it really could be anyone.
  11. I understand Chris Louis' frustration but at the end of the day Glasgow gave him his chance at PL level when no-one else would. Can't blame wee Joe for feeling settled at another club. He has great support here. Personally, it feels great to have some loyalty from a rider. It felt like Glasgow were always doing other club's dirty work by bringing over new riders/returning riders for them to go to another club once they'd become good. Although Josh G was an exception. I honestly thought Joe would be at Ipswich next year so it was a good surprise to hear that he'd put in for a transfer. You can't stop a rider from riding where he wants to, as we sorely found out when David Bellego went to Berwick.
  12. Yup, someone like Karlsson would definitely strengthen the team. I just don't understand where it all went wrong for Wrighty. I didn't really follow his progress when he made the jump to the Elite League, I imagine it didn't go as well as he had expected? He's been stuck in this rut ever since and I just don't know how he would change it. I actually thought when we signed him that maybe this move and the support he would get from the tigers fans would be what he needed. Don't get me wrong his scores aren't AWFUL but I did expect a bit more by now. Bager is a bit of an enigma too. Can beat top guys one race and then be coming in last and beaten by weak reserves in the next.
  13. I just can't see them making any team changes. Sean saying after the meeting something along the lines of "I am gutted we lost the meeting but you see what we are trying to do with this team". Screeny and Grievesy will never be dropped and there's obviously no need to. Young Joe is trying to get a transfer and the two Aussies should be given the time to progress. I'm sure they said they signed Henning on a full transfer and that leaves Wrighty being the only possibility in my mind of getting the axe. I feel really bad for James Wright. I remember a few years ago when he would come to Ashfield and he'd be a proper threat to whatever tigers he was up against in his races. Now he just looks like a completely different rider and looks afraid to try and pass other riders on the track. He doesn't look confident at all unless he makes the gate. A shame really.
  14. The Lions completely outclassed the Tigers today, they deserved their win. Well done! The track was very strange early on, with riders finding it difficult to turn on the 1st and 2nd bends. It was great to see Grievesy back to himself today, looked very fast in some races and never gave up. I was over the moon when they announced that Joe Jacobs is trying to get a full transfer to Glasgow. It's refreshing to see a rider be so loyal to the Tigers, good man.
  15. Yeah I've got a feeling it's going to be something good. Hoping it's a sky meeting!
  16. Glad Harley has been accepted. He seems so chuffed, and guess what...he likes the cold!!! so no whinging about the inevitable weather
  17. Yeah I remember when he was one of the best riders in the PL. You're right about the enigma thing though. He's still young, I think he could get back to his full potential.
  18. Quite happy with the signing of James, I will be even happier if the final signing is above 5points so we can get Harley at reserve.
  19. aye, the BSPA are waiting 12 months to review it
  20. Either Screeny and Havvy are trying to wind folk up on twitter or Joe has signed for Redcar. He will be sorely missed at Glasgow if true.
