Wasn't that just a rumour? Glad we have Richard as an asset now we can stop worrying about his availability in relation to clashes between Glasgow and Lakeside meetings. I read he missed a fair few for Redcar last year due to this? I wonder now how the likes of Nick and James will be affected by fixture clashes?

Looks like we could have issues with Kozza after this insane news about aussie and US riders not being allowed to ride over here. Not seen anything official about this but a few riders panicking about this.

I wonder if Theo will sign for you guys. Would hate to see him without a team place this year.

Premier League 2015 Predictions
heather21 replied to cambpanther's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yep, was a very tongue in cheek comment. -
Oh I get out loads hence why I hardly have time post on here, unlike yourself. Sometimes it's good to take some of your own advice I'm sure you will get over it eventually and each sarcastic remark just brings me more joy

Correction, I said it was something that I am most excited about. And why wouldn't I be? I'm so exciteeeeed! And I just can't hiiiiiide it!
-
The worst part of success is finding someone who is happy for you.
-
Woooooooooo! I've never been so excited for anything in my LIFE! What awesome news to end the year. I really do hope the investment by the Facenna's reaps them great rewards. As others have mentioned, if speedway becomes profitable in Glasgow then it could give potential investors nationwide the confidence to invest in other teams. It could be the beginning of something great and I know and trust the new owners to do everything in their power to make this a success. Roll on March! Cannot wait.

I know, geez a break.

I said IF. I have no idea of when Aaron was approached.
-
Yes but again that isn't his fault, and he is the one that could potentially miss out on a team place!
-
Exactly what I am thinking. Riders should be allowed to see what their options are. Brian Havelock having a total toy out the pram moment!
-
What annoys me is that if Glasgow did approach Aaron illegally and they did offer more money and blah de fn blah, its Aaron that will be punished for it by possibly ending up without a team place, not Glasgow! Get a grip havvy.
-
He should be allowed to move if he cannot be included in the Redcar team, which he can't.
-
But surely anyone can understand if you get offered more money to do the same job then it only makes sense to do this? I just think its a bit crap for Aaron as he is the one in limbo regarding his career.
-
I feel a bit sorry for Aaron to be honest. If rumours are correct and Havelok is being awkward about the situation with Aaron due to Glasgow offering Kozza more money then it is ridiculous. He may be their asset but he is a person and must be worrying about his team place for next season. Its not as though there is a space at Redcar for him if something were to fall through. Bloody well let the guy get sorted for next season, jesus.

We would be wasting a fair amount of points if we signed Rusty and the same with Theo, though.
-
Nick morris, kozza smith, dimitri berge, james sarjeant and victor palovaara signed for glasgow.
-
If you are correct then why do you have to go and spoil it for us who were looking forward to finding out our signings at our club stars event tomorrow?

If You Could Sign One Ex Pl Rider?

Shane Parker! -
Nick Morris is exactly 8.14 (thats what it says on BSPA website anyway)
-
Rusty has been truly excellent recently. If I could have my own way he would be riding for us again next season.
-
I agree on Rusty but I have heard a fair few times now that he will be retiring at the end of this season

Thought I would start this thread, I like to see what everyone's thoughts are for the following season. I actually struggled a bit building a team with riders I think would travel to ride at Glasgow... but here we go... Richard Lawson 8.59 Anders Thomsen 5.68 Kevin Wolbert 5.86 Jason Garrity 6.19 Theo Pijper 6.60 Kasper Lykke 4.46 Dimitri Berge 4.90 42.28 I'm not sure what everyone's thoughts are on Kevin Wolbert, but I am the paranoid type who feels he would sign for another club next year and do spectacularly, so i feel on that average it could be worth the risk. I know most people at Glasgow would like to see the son of god riding for us, I have never been a huge fan of his and would love to have Josh G back at number 1 but feel Richard would be more likely? I don't really know what the situation is with Anders but we all know what we is capable of. If he has the commitment and the bikes then I would definitely have him back. Jason Garrity is one I have wanted in the team for a couple of years now, he is very exciting to watch. I keep reading about Theo possibly going to Berwick next year. I hope this is not true as I love him in the team as he is a great team player and captain. Kasper is an absolute DEFINITE for me. I would be gutted if he did not return next year, I'm sure most people agree with me. Same with Dimitri, what a rider he could become if he could stay injury free! Although I see Berwick have their eye on him too. At least we know he is an asset this time! For however much that is actually worth these days. Another thing I am unsure of is Victor. My paranoid self rears it's head again when it comes to him. If he could come back on his own bikes (I hear he is loaning bikes from Daniel Nermark?) could he be a steal on a 3pt average? I really wish we could have Rusty back in the team next year but I have heard a few times that he is retiring this year He has been nothing short of awesome for the tigers this season!
