  1. Seems like the team will be completed tomorrow. As I understand it our number 1 was a reserve for a goodly part of last year. We are looking at third or fourth rate speedway from that which we once knew. And before anybody responds I agree it is better than nothing.
  2. I and others have said that we are glad Peterborough have been saved but we would prefer to be in Elite League or at least have a chance of getting back to the Elite. If you think that is moaning that is your prerogative. A more balanced view would call it an opinion.
  3. Has anybody said they would rather have no speedway?
  4. Everybody is pleased Panthers have been saved. Not everbody however is pleased we are in Premier League with little or no chance of getting into the higher eschelons again.
  5. It seems the new management feel all season ticket holders are likely to be crooks. What else can be the reason for the requirement to supply photographs..
  6. The fact that we are still running is the most enthusiastic I can be!!!
  7. I find it almost obseen the hights of fervour that some are experiencing regarding Panther demotion.
  8. By any yard stick Premier League is second tier. Some may well for reasons best known to themselves prefer it. I have to say from what I have seen the racing has been pretty good. However would those who support The Posh prefer to be in Div 2 because you perceive the Football to be better?. What Premier League means is that we are not at the Sharp End and will no longer see the Top Riders.( such as they are). I am willling to concede that MH has saved Panthers but can any one doubt that his main loyalty is now with Coventry.
  9. Pains me to see Panthers in Premier League even more that it seems many are more than happy for them to stay there.
  10. I understand that Trevor Swales has said that this was muted before the departure of RF, but now seems dead in the water.
  11. I suspect this is how the majority will feel. If BSPA ignore this forum as some suggest it is because they suffer from ostrich syndrome and can't see the wood for the trees. Probably more correct to say won't rather than can't
  12. To clarify suggest it should be Bordeaux v Burgundy.
  13. I think most would agree that walking out was the wrong call. On the other hand it is generally acknowledged that RF was told to F Off by Ronnie Russell.. One of the problems for those used to observing the norms of general business practice is they fail to grasp such practices do not exist within BSPA. Spivs and Wide Boys
  14. Great rider that Peter Craven was, personally I think Brian Crutcher was better.
  15. I was there at both world championships he won.
