  1. At the time Kiidemand was riding for a Premier League team ( can't remember which) But their promoter claimed it was all because Kildemand did not understand English
  2. This is why Ged should unequivocally let fans know his intentions for next season rather than keep us in suspense
  3. My understanding is that Rathbone and Ostergaard come as a package!!
  4. What I say is that with three riders lkely to score little or nothing it was essential that the remaining four scored well.
  5. Nail on head!! Ged never anticipated losing to Workington so was not to fussed re Edinburgh until it was too late. As a result of this seemingly Panthers future now in jeopardy.
  6. Before I get the inevitable flack , I put on record that Ged Rathbone I am sure did what was in his opinion the right thing for Panthers and also agree that there Is no reason why any reasonable person should think it ok that he should lose money. However there is no doubt in my mind that the team changes or rather the determination to keep Ulrich regardless was the reason at the end of the day that Panthers did not reach the play offs. I also have little doubt that the current doubts over Panthers future would not have happened if the play offs had been reached and more so if we had won the league. Most likely management never envisaged that all would depend on the Edinburgh meeting and were confident all would be settled following Workington and Rye House. With Ulrich in present form this strategy was doomed to fail and it is probable that for the heat 15 crash against Rye House Panthers would have lost this as well. In view of the above it rather rankles that once again Panthers future is uncertain.
  7. I think most Panthers fans are more concerned with the future of the club than the play offs at this moment in time
  8. I have seen several comments that Edinburgh have been offered various dates but were unable to accommodate us. Also mentioned that we could not accept the Friday date as Bjerre unavailable.
  9. He has however got £16000 in the bank, which if in view of claims of non payment of riders and others seems to be more than a promoter of recent past. So perhaps he can give some to Ged. Or am I being naïve? " A rhetorical question"
  10. Even a 15 point max will not make up for the shortcomings of the three H's and an unpredictable Ulrich!!!!.
  11. Unless Ulrich ups his game I see the new line up as potentially weaker than that it is replacing.
  12. I really worry about Panthers team, in view of the patchy form of Ulrich we have no more than a top three with, Bjerre in view of his comments on Sunday not exactly inspiring confidence. There is a long long tail with the triple H's who for the most part are simply not up to it at least in the short term.
  13. Glad all systems go again. As for business seems that it depends on which paper you read.
  14. I see Mr Rigsby's site is again in long term maintenence mode. Can only assume it is due to fall out from Brexit..
  15. Think it was about 5 years ago. Took Mildenhall into Premier League
  16. Horton has always been content to spend as little as possible
  17. As I recall the promoters rebelled when Speedway was run by the old SCB, as it was run impartially but the decisions did not suit the promoters. Now we just have an unholy mess run by a bunch who run the sport packed with petty squabbles and self interest.
  18. The only pensioners who are any way well off are those who inherited property from their parents( if it was not used for care etc), Apart of course from those born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouths.
  19. Well I now know from this erudite and well informed post that Pensioners live in a land of milk and honey having bountiful and undeserved gifts showered on them on them by this benevolent government. Interest rates when todays pensioners bought their houses if indeed they did buy were 12% or even 14% not the rock bottom rates they are now. Due to these low interest rates pensioners get sod all interest on their savings if indeed they have any.
  20. Quite right!!! They have buttered their bread and now they must lie in it.
  21. Following the assertions from Coventry bosses that pensioners are rolling in money and thus withdrawing the traditional concession prices, there there is a report today that many pensioners are living in poverty.
