Edinburgh Vs Panthers - 11/08/17
wealdstone replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I am not aware that Peterborough have broken any rules .Most likely they know the word anyway and would not require a dictionary -
Are you certain there was bung? If so how much was it We forget that BSPA was formed as the promoters did not like the decisions coming from the then independent body
-
Quite right the statement as you say says no such thing and is old news anyway. Not clear why someone should raise this now especially when their assertions are wrong. It may well be that Holder will miss those meetings but it does not say so in the statement.

In the case of the two Aussies concerned spiteful and vindictive is fine by me. Paid good money and drove long way to see the fiasco that evening.
-
It seems fairly clear that Holder said something like " I am going to Torun make the best of if"

Have always had a soft spot for Poole as my favourite rider of all time originated there. However many will feel in the present situation "what goes round comes around".

If Kings Lynn fans wish him out the reason will be other than his riding ability

I was told the next day by a Kings Lynn rider that in his opinion there was nothing wrong with the track. -

pI**ing fans off has been Batchelor's speciality for quite some time. -

I have to say that having being a regular at Kings Lynn in the middle seventies from a watching the racing point of view it was much better before stadium upgrade. Cosmetically it looks a lot better but imo not from a viewing point of view. -

Spoke to a rider involved in the meeting the next day. His view was that track perfectly ok and ensuing furore totally down to Holder and Batchelor. -
Peterborough V Glasgow 25/6/17 Championship

I seldom if ever make use of either the food or the bar outlets at the showground, however it is my understanding that two food outlets should be provided by the showground authorities. On at least three occasions recently only one was in attendance. -
Spoke briefly to a Luminary of British Speedway at yesterdays meeting. Not overly enthusiastic re Mr Horton or Mr Woffinden

Suggest as well as Ambulance standing by there should also be a "Kwik Fit Fitter " for rapid repair or replacement of inflatables. -
Ipswich V Peterborough April 15th 7.30pm

We have seen the Peterborough team opting out on many occasions and locations over the years. and under various promotions. Come to think of it Chris Louis regularly opted out when riding at the Showground. -
Too few turnstiles!! Promoters doing things on the cheap. If I am in the Stadium in plenty of time I am totally pissed off if the start is delayed for any reason.

Yes that was what I thought and why I asked the question. I think the TV programme I was referring to was in late 60's early 70's

If anyone interested I have vol9 no 2 Summer 2001 volume 14 no 2 summer 2006 and volume 12 no1 spring 2004 -
I saw a TV programme some years ago which from memory came from a practice day at Hackney. I remember one participant claimed his bike was powered by an engine from a BSA Gold Star. I did not think BSA engines were ever used in Speedway anybody know different.

Peterborough V Scunthorpe C1 24/3/17

Far from a convincing performance. Good crowd a massive plus factor. Why do we still have to have lengthy delay between heats 14 and 15 and why is Jack Holder not properly kitted out like the rest of team.
