  1. Why is it that the future of Peterborough Speedway is in doubt if the fine is the same as the payment? Has the money been already spent? I don't see the justification in a free meeting and am appalled at the indecent pace with which the vultures and scavengers are gathering.
  2. Stupid yes, but not sure where you get selfish from. ,
  3. Possibly you think you are being controversial and amusing ,that is why in normal circumstances you are just about tolerated. At the present time your comments are insensitive to say the least.. Put a sock in it !!!
  4. I have very little sympathy for Ged personally and what he did, but it is the supporters who will be the losers from the consequences of his actions. Some should reflect on that when seeking retribution
  5. Heard several totally contradictory stories tonight
  6. Whatever the rights and wrongs I am surprised Holder has the nerve to turn up in view of the furore he has caused.
  7. The only possible justification of a fine at the suggested level is if was the same as the alleged bung. At the moment both are only speculation.
  8. I agree with you in principle but I genuinely think that Ged is not personally in a financial position to pay the fine. So only option is to walk away.
  9. Agree Ged in wrong but now another club likely to go to the wall.Should have thought of the future of Peterborough and Speedway in general when deliberating over the punishment.
  10. I suspect you are right in your conjecture. In my view Ged will not or cannot pay the fine suggested to be in the region of £45000 and presumably will remain suspended until he does. He has also said that fans will not be asked for a hand out again. Unless the fine and suspension are rescinded or a credible buyer for the club found I fear Panthers are finished. Between them Rathbone, Holder, BSPA and SCB have made a right ruddy hames of it.
  11. A few days ago the talk was of a return to proper Speedway now it whether there will be any at all.
  12. Once they agreed to the original miss the floodgates were opened. Difficult to see what Rathbones thinking was. However Holder could have told Torun sorry I am committed to Peterborough this year
  13. That leaves only the first option then!!! Of course seems what is required is a lot more substantial than a whip round
  14. I foresee either Ged quitting or another plea for a bale out from the fans.
  15. Ged has made monumental error of judgement and clearly bears some blame but the catalyst in all this is Holder IMO.
  16. Never want to see Holder anywhere near EOES again even if he can fit it in with his busy schedule.
  17. Having only ever supported Wembley I did not think I would ever feel the same about another team. I went to quite a few meetings at other tracks but it was never the same , in fact the pleasure I got was from supporting the away side. However I did manage to get almost the same feeling towards White City and their League title win was great. I was in the same state of limbo when they closed but fortunately in recent years I have managed to form an allegiance to Peterborough.
  18. Frankly I doubt it. In any case talk of return to proper speedway is speculation at best.
  19. Blimey you are like a dog with a bone. Let me repeat I found the racing at Ipswich boring, others did not. Why is it then of any interest or relevance what team I may or not support or whether you may find the racing at that track boring?
