  1. Great result from what at the moment effectively is a five man team.
  2. If I understand Terry Russell 's comments in todays Speedway Star correctly he feels BSPA have made a right ruddy hames of the whole issue
  3. Hopefully this meeting signifies the start e new era in British Speedway at last we have a few who look like they could reach the top. Lambert was superb and Bewley pretty impressive. Had not liked Lambert up till this juncture but possibly a lot of previous perceptions of him were more down to his mother.
  4. OMG had nightmare run home to cambridge following Fridays supporters club event. what advice can you give for sunday, or shall we not bother
  5. Whilst end result disappointing overall our performance was superb
  6. Rather have r/r or even Tim Bungay than Holder
  7. Continuing the farce that British Speedway has become
  8. As far as I am concerned Holder is Persona Non Grata
  9. Sadly this could apply collectively to all those that are part of the inner circle that presently run Speedway in this country
  10. Brought home to me recently when someone asked me who was my favourite rider. Suddenly realised things had gone so far that I had not got one and probably had not for some time
  11. I thought the reason for fixed nights was to attract the stars back. It does not seem to have worked.
  12. Whatever decision they may or may not have made, in view of limited fixtures it is again too little too late. The last train to nowhere proceeds unabated
  13. This sort of performance has happened with alarming regularity over the years with different riders and promotions. Most likely the track will be blamed as it has been on all the other occasions. I suspect that those who opted to go on Sunday rather than last night may well prefer to stay at home to watch edited highlights of Eurovision Song Contest.
  14. As Ric Frost said before he quit in exasperation BSPA not even competent to operate a burger van
  15. Most Panthers fans would have taken this result. Lambert is Lambert a good reserve who is capable of beating the best on his day but also likely to make you wonder why he bothered to turn up on occasions
  16. do the decent thing and call it off now. will not be pleasant for fans even if rain stops
  17. Any advice re road works on roundabout? Got properly lost the other week trying to get back on A10 to Cambridge. Diversions took us up A47 towards Peterborough. Sorted eventually but not pleasant experience.
  18. The replies received are exactly what I was getting at. People will simply get out of the habit of going. Probably the authorities will react by cutting meetings to 10 heats and increasing admission and programme costs
  19. Way off track , however I did go there quite a lot mid seventies. Tommy Price may give you a clue. Mind you I can remember rolling starts and black tracks
  20. Totally understand your point but from where I come from it was Thursday or sometimes Saturday.
  21. Can't blame the Mafia for rain offs , but imo they have got the rest wrong.
