Brought home to me recently when someone asked me who was my favourite rider. Suddenly realised things had gone so far that I had not got one and probably had not for some time

A total shambles as it has been for many years. -
Fixed night farce-how much longer
wealdstone replied to mickthemuppet's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I thought the reason for fixed nights was to attract the stars back. It does not seem to have worked. -
I have gone past caring!!!!

Whatever decision they may or may not have made, in view of limited fixtures it is again too little too late. The last train to nowhere proceeds unabated

This sort of performance has happened with alarming regularity over the years with different riders and promotions. Most likely the track will be blamed as it has been on all the other occasions. I suspect that those who opted to go on Sunday rather than last night may well prefer to stay at home to watch edited highlights of Eurovision Song Contest.

Most Panthers fans would have taken this result. Lambert is Lambert a good reserve who is capable of beating the best on his day but also likely to make you wonder why he bothered to turn up on occasions -

Any advice re road works on roundabout? Got properly lost the other week trying to get back on A10 to Cambridge. Diversions took us up A47 towards Peterborough. Sorted eventually but not pleasant experience. -
Fewer meetings and Rain Offs
wealdstone replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The replies received are exactly what I was getting at. People will simply get out of the habit of going. Probably the authorities will react by cutting meetings to 10 heats and increasing admission and programme costs -

Way off track , however I did go there quite a lot mid seventies. Tommy Price may give you a clue. Mind you I can remember rolling starts and black tracks -

Totally understand your point but from where I come from it was Thursday or sometimes Saturday. -

Can't blame the Mafia for rain offs , but imo they have got the rest wrong. -
This looks to me to speed up the decline in Speedway.

Peterborough v Ipswich CS Tuesday 24th April
wealdstone replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just pleased it was called off early rather than last minute. Sincerely hope the actual weather justifies the decision. If not accusations from the anti Peterborough brigade will claim it was due to concerns re crowd level. -
Probably keep quiet as if truth be known there would be a adverse effect on crowd on tuesday

So what have Panthers got to do to go through

King's Lynn v Belle Vue 18/04/18

Hope that he will now dispense with 50p surcharge on debit cards. He carried on with this even after it was in the process of being made illegal as the law was not yet in place. -

Perhaps the bosses can ensure that the Bar ( at least the building) is open. Also no delay between heats 14 and 15 -
Think you are right. I went to the Final that year in Poland. . Chorzow if I recall.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but my foremost memory of Ivan was during the qualifying stages of the World Final at White City where he fell off at the start and remained lying down until the race was stopped. The referee excluded John Davis although Bob Dugard pointed quite clearly to the Davis's tyre tracks which showed do deviation at all that could have caused Ivan's fall.

Lakeside v Peterborough frid 6th april 8 pm CS

No problem with parking more than ample on site. However the Stadium leaves imo a lot to be desired. Take a chair is my advice. Last time I went mud terracing was the norm. -
Should also mention the indecent haste that another luminary of the sport rushed to take the 30 pieces of silver
