  1. Split Waterman was a colourful character and one of those that brought relief to the gloomy days post WW2, when even the then government maintained gloom and doom by imposing an entertainment tax
  2. What rumours are referred to are a mystery to most .However mushroom management being the norm in Speedway it would be nice to hear from Ged and Neil.
  3. I suppose that makes sense to you ,seems rather silly to me
  4. I remember vividly Split Waterman breaking the Wembley Track record in a Test Match at Wembley in the fifties
  5. All are equal but some are more equal than others
  6. I think most Panthers fans will be very satisfied with the signings so far. The overall result will depend on the quality of the lower order.
  7. Hopefully those that left when Panthers relegated themselves will return.
  8. Where I come from 7 .45 on Thursdays was always the regular Speedway time and date.
  9. So there is a Father Christmas!!! Or is it Buster with the costume ,
  10. I am pleased Hans back at Peterborough. It should be remembered however that whilst Hans was shafted by Colin Horton, Ric Frost paid Hans all that was owed by the club but Anderson still could not wait to leave.
  11. Certainly not the man he was but would be a great asset If he were to sign
  12. Waiting for more sweeties from Buster. For Gods sake we are not children. waiting for Father Christmas.
  13. Workington clearly best team IMO and deserved title
  14. I for one am, getting mightily irritated with the continuing twitter and facebook exclusives.
  15. Don't see that this necessarily follows. Harris worth his place in any team and good to have him but no longer see him as a number 1
  16. IMO Buster is devious and am deeply uneasy regarding his motives.
  17. This has always been my concern although some on other threads would have you believe that Chapman is a Paragon of virtue and benevolence
  18. Same with Panthers and Stars seems its Chapman's way or no way
  19. I see there is a dig at so called experts picking team apart in the statement.
  20. No dribs so far and no drabs that I am aware of.
  21. Seemingly Panthers have now adopted the Mafia default position. Ignore them they are only fans so don't really matter as long as they turn up and pay to get in
