  1. If they ever bother to report !!! So typical of Speedway communications
  2. Somewhat enigmatic . Last time I saw him was at quiz in full Panthers regalia sitting next to Neil Watson who assured me he was continuing.
  3. Could this be another Panthers stalwart whose face no longer fits?
  4. Was not aware that any Panthers fans felt a laughing stock, just misled.
  5. I may be wrong , but it seems to me that well known Panthers supporter and luminary "Kev the Rev " has not been seen since the demise of Ged and Neil. Has anybody got any info on his absence?
  6. This meeting contained just about every negative facet to put Panthers fans off.
  7. Saw Steve Bast ride for most of his Wembley career, he never got close to mastering English conditions and it was a regular event to see him with other Wembley riders being shown what lines he should ride. As far as I am aware he never had his own equipment during his time here and rode the Wembley track spare
  8. The team is what it is and somewhat weak. However they put on a great effort tonight and could well have won had it not been for mechanical problems with Tungate and Andersen.
  9. My recollection is that Ged had records of his conversation with the deputy boss of bosses which supported Geds version of events. Subsequently the Lincolnshire man was let off by his peers as he only did and said what he did for the good of Speedway.
  10. As with most things Speedway we will never know the truth. Subterfuge and deviousness are the norm even when being up front is the best way. Neil Watson told me that he and Ged were to carry on as promoters and I do not believe he would tell me an out right lie. Ged told me that the team he put together was done so very cheaply and I believe that as well. He has been naïve in the extreme to put his faith in those he should not have. He also told me that he regretted selling the club. As regards the veracity of the new owners they sat at a fans forum knowing full well there was a problem with Cook but chose to pretend all was well.
  11. It is my belief that Ged feels he was betrayed by some previously close to him.
  12. Very glad of rapid run time of meetings, great help with the nightmare of travelling home on A14
  13. I first saw him back in early fifties riding second halves at Wembley
  14. Not the ideal choice but Summers has done everything and more that could reasonably have been expected of him
  15. Michel Lee threw his career away could have achieved much much more
  16. Mediocrity may be setting your sights too high!!!
  17. Some tracks ,Wembley for instance had meaningful second halves.
  18. Do you know the truth? Are you doubting Neils veracity?
  19. Brian Crutcher was on a par with Moore , Briggs ,Craven and Fundin. However I think he would agree that on the big night he let himself down. Craven was far from the best rider in the world when he won his first world title but could perform on the big occasion.
  20. I believe that Ged and Neil were deliberately left exposed to be totally undermined later. Revenge is a dish best served cold!!
  21. Neither do I but Ged told me the team he assembled was unbelievably cheap
  22. Refer to Neils post are you suggesting he is lying? I for one do not think he is.
  23. There are those that know, there are those that think they know and then there are the paying public whose only function is to pay the entrance fee
