As with most things Speedway we will never know the truth. Subterfuge and deviousness are the norm even when being up front is the best way. Neil Watson told me that he and Ged were to carry on as promoters and I do not believe he would tell me an out right lie. Ged told me that the team he put together was done so very cheaply and I believe that as well. He has been naïve in the extreme to put his faith in those he should not have. He also told me that he regretted selling the club. As regards the veracity of the new owners they sat at a fans forum knowing full well there was a problem with Cook but chose to pretend all was well.

It is my belief that Ged feels he was betrayed by some previously close to him.

Very glad of rapid run time of meetings, great help with the nightmare of travelling home on A14 -
I first saw him back in early fifties riding second halves at Wembley
-
Not the ideal choice but Summers has done everything and more that could reasonably have been expected of him

Some tracks ,Wembley for instance had meaningful second halves. -
Do you know the truth? Are you doubting Neils veracity?

Brian Crutcher was on a par with Moore , Briggs ,Craven and Fundin. However I think he would agree that on the big night he let himself down. Craven was far from the best rider in the world when he won his first world title but could perform on the big occasion. -
I believe that Ged and Neil were deliberately left exposed to be totally undermined later. Revenge is a dish best served cold!!
-
Neither do I but Ged told me the team he assembled was unbelievably cheap
-
Refer to Neils post are you suggesting he is lying? I for one do not think he is.

There are those that know, there are those that think they know and then there are the paying public whose only function is to pay the entrance fee
-
Thought you knew
-
Not what Ged told me!!!!!!. If what you say is other than conjecture I accept what you say
-
Geds team was good ,this one isn't. Who is to blame it is not our place to know as the mere paying public. We must make do with platitudes from those more exalted than us.

Feeling pretty disillusioned at the moment. Big change from the feeling when Geds team was announced. Did not see Stilton Panther there which speaks volumes. -
What the true situation may be persons outside the inner sanctum do not know. I do know however that Ged told me he regretted selling the club and that Neil Watson told me that he and Ged had intended to stay .

With our first fixture tomorrow I have never had so little trust in management than I do now
-
Whether by omission or commission Panthers fans have been shafted . Last Fridays eulogising over the new management team is now looking misplaced to say the least

Most will now wish it was Gomoilski , another slap in face for fans. What a ruddy hames
