Although some now claim to the contrary Messrs Rathbone and Watson were adamant that they ran without incurring any debt

Without Douglas we would have suffered a bit of a thumping. However in the main some good racing on a damp miserable night. It is clear that many of the one time stars are now well past their best. The poor crowd could be excused because of weather and TV I suppose, but it is still worrying the increasing number of one time Panthers stalwarts that are noticeable by their absence. Some no longer present by their own decision, some it would seem having the decision made for them. It is to be hoped that this season can be put behind us and we can look forward to a return to being competitive in 2020 preferably still in Premier League -

Having had a year out , I do not see at his age Hancock ever getting back to the levels required for a GP -

Shall not be happy if I find this is off after driving 30 plus miles each way, especially on the nightmare which is the A14 -
This is totally at odds with what Peterborough bosses have told the fans. Any development is said to be long term and no changes that will effect speedway expected for 2/3 years. Development plan the council have said will not be looked on favorably unless it involves safeguarding the future of the various existing sporting activities

Bad luck on both sides (Bjerre & Hans) at one point I actually thought Panthers were going to win. -
When you see the Premier League averages in Speedway Star , shows just how much off the pace Panthers are.

I fear Peterborough will be the victims of this years Chapman master plan -
Big decisions in November.

Whilst I see the logic in fixed race days I think it has been a massive mistake, as it has deprived teams of traditional home nights and has had a massive effect on availability of guests to cover for injuries -

I hope that when the dust has settled from this debacle of a season there is some philanthropist willing to step in and repair the damage this season has caused to Panthers. -
Ove Fundin was thought of as a dirty rider at the outset , he was also deeply unpopular when riding for Wembley on their brief revival as he cried off for away meetings at short notice and alarming regularity.

A masterful plan to eliminate our club, you must very proud. The 30 pieces of silver did some good eventually.

In fairness not much left to be ambitious about. My hope is this seasons disaster has not cemented Panthers demise

Time your respnses were less enigmatic. I have been supporting you and Ged under some considerable stick as I believe things you have told me.

Pretty poor team being tracked by Panthers, hardly worth turning up in fact. However with the injuries and the set race nights guests bookings leave little room for manoeuvre, so really can't blame Panthers management. -
A distortion of the facts re Holder and the Showground. The Holder situation was roundly condemned by the fans but did not materially effect the Panthers Season as they won the fours and Cup. SCB subsequently made it clear that BSPA exceeded their authority and suggested that the major part of the blame should be directed elsewhere. Regarding the Panthers/Showground what Neil said was that the Showground will not close , not that Panthers are secure although we all hope they are.
