  1. Like many others I agreed and was prepared to let my club hang on to the money I paid for 2 season tickets last year. I am not proposing to make an issue of it but my club at least had promised that people like myself would not lose out despite the fact that we will not see as many matches for our money that we paid for last year.
  2. Sorry to hear this news, undoubtedly season over for him, can only wish him the best. Serious blow for Panthers and no suitable and available replacement comes to mind
  3. They were wonderous occasions going back to pre war . A entirely different breed of promoter then
  4. Will the Bar be open now restrictions lifted?? It looked like closed permanently from the state of the inside up until now.
  5. Watched football match from plough lane on TV nice looking stadium but totally unrecognisable as the old Speedway Stadium.
  6. Like it or not stewards are only doing what they have been told to. Have not seen any heavy handiness my self.
  7. If that is the way you see it so be it. To others it seemed that despite being given reasonable explanations you were not prepared to let he matter go .
  8. I find it very sad that despite being given valid reasons why the meeting was called off( many from persons with local and practical experience) that because one person will not listen to explanations given that this thread has descended into personal abuse.
  9. For reasons explained by others meetings especially at EOES are not called of lightly if for no other reason that re staging availability is always a problem. Personally I would rather it were called off early so I did not have have a wasted journey. Far better that what has happened the past at some tracks where they claim its not raining and all ok, only to get there to find meeting called off and it had been raining all day.
  10. I would think that many would agree with me that the viewing experience was better when I travelled from Norwich for every meeting in the mid to late seventies.
  11. I beg to differ , if you are at track level the fence obscures the view. As I have said many times the undoubted cosmetic upgrade of the Stadium has done little or nothing for spectators
  12. Was it only me but in the race where Schlien was injured, an object from a rider or his machine hit Jordan Palin causing him to temporarily lose control of his machine.
  13. Chris Harris did this regularly when at Coventry , what a talent to have at reserve!!
  14. On paper Sheffield the favourites a lot will depend on whether Mr Holder turns up both in mind and body. Other factor being that the entire Panthers team are capable of riding at a level way beyond their average
  15. When I lived in Norwich in mid seventies went to every Lynn home meeting and even an away one at Exeter when on holiday in area. Never really got to be a Lynn supporter , but even with the then poor facilities the experience was a whole lot better than it is now.
  16. Certainly all does not seem well at KL. I have to say and have said for a long time that despite the dramatic cosmetic changes to the Stadium the whole experience on race days was IMO a whole lot better in the days of Cyril Crane and the Littlechilds.
  17. Regrettably the narrow self interest of the past has come home to roost .
  18. If home meetings delayed it follows that all meetings are delayed.
  19. As far as I know the Council have decreed that any development at EOES must include provision for Speedway. In the long term it would be desirable IMO for Speedway and Ice Hockey to be aligned at the same venue
  20. I think Dale much to the fore at Panthers as well which seems to be for the better.
