  1. I agree with this. Holder is a very good rider but for all he is dominant in the UK and very good in the foreign leagues, I just don't think he has it in him to win the WC. When you look at Ward and sometimes Emil they take risks and although they mightn't be as consistent as Holder they are more ruthless when it matters and can pull it out the bag on the big stage, thats why I think they'll win it a few times between them. Holder might well be the next Leigh Adams.
  2. Too used to seeing Ward and Holder blow away a poor EL, Emil is equally as good if not better.
  3. No I think Poole will kill his career as it did to that of promising youngsters Lindback and Kasprzak.
  4. Don't you remember back in the old days when a 30+ rider could have a second half one week and be in the team the next week, world final the year after, think of all the riders we're stopping here.
  5. Smashing Neil H, really pleased. Long live Dean Felton and so say all of us.
  6. Buxton cracking set-up in Derbyshire. Hope they can swoop for Dean Felton again this season, been a fan since his Berwick days, feisty rider.
  7. Maybe they both wanted out? Bowden gets a much better rider and Ashworth goes somewhere more suitable.
  8. There's something very nice about waking up to live speedway, like when the SWC was rained off and re-arranged. Tell you what push it back to 11am and i'll consider it.
  9. Schedule it for a reasonable time so it doesn't interrupt my sleep.
  10. Ricky is an excellent rider as most people are quite aware.
  11. Is this the Dan Greenwood that rode a few years ago and then retired?
  12. Yes but Pedersen is still in because he has the ability to win GPs as he showed last year. Once he drops to the standard of Laguta/Woffinden then he won't get a WC and someone else will. I think your idea about the bottom 7 against the best riders outside the GP is a good one and one i'd like to see, but it will inevitably be the likes of Lindgren/Lindback etc near the top anyway. Even when riders do qualify they're sometimes not good enough i.e Laguta.
  13. It only needs 1 spot, if they're good enough then they'll qualify. Why the fascination with having sub-standard riders in just because they'll be something different to watch?
  14. FOUR riders from the entire speedway world don't have to qualify if they finish outside the top 8. Do you honestly believe all these new youngsters would suddenly appear if 4 more spaces were open to qualifiers? No.
  15. May aswell have awarded the title to Holder instead of running 3 meetings. What a non-event.
  16. Looks like one of them notepad files you get where everything is all over and full of random characters.
  17. I agree with Shovlar and Bagpuss. Looks like Batchelor shoved him and then a couple of seconds later got caught up with him and they both came off. A shame but thats racing.
  18. Must have some terrible luck because he's always been crap.
  19. It will more than likely be the same contenders as ever, Hancock/Gollob/Crump will be up there, Hampel/AJ if they can continue their improvement from recent years will also be fighting. Nicki P is a funny one, might well have one last go at it but I think top 6 chance is more realistic. After those, Holder/Bjerre did well last season so might well carry that on and then it will be the likes of Lindgren/Harris/Lindback fighting for the lower down placings.
