Welcome to the 2016 EL sponsored by Matt Ford.
-
It's exactly what's wrong with speedway, there is always this obsession about striving for fairness. You won by < 6 at home? You only got 2 points? Oh no, have an extra point this year instead. If Glasgow want to race Friday then let them do it. Edinburgh's protest is literally the most pathetic thing I've ever read. If you're scared of Glasgow stealing your fans then go and get some more of your own ffs. Glasgow's crowds have hone up markedly because they've made the effort, why not try the same instead of protesting? Let them both race on a Friday and then it's survival of the fittest and if Edinburgh come out 2nd best then they'll have to budget accordingly. Who knows, maybe they might not lose as much in future?

Like father...
-
Except...they essentially do? Even when you lose, you win.
-
When will you understand you're not ITK and important and therefore are inferior? Dear me.
-
Granted, but that doesn't win points. You've admitted that he's less than competitive so maybe he just isn't good enough yet.

Adam Ellis Zach Wajknecht Tom Perry Sam Chapman Liam Carr Ryan Blacklock Dan Greenwood Darryl Ritchings Martin Knuckey Max Clegg Matt Williamson Ellis Perks Nathan Greaves Arron Mogridge Bradley Wilson-Dean Ben Hopwood Marc Owen Daniel Spiller Ben Morley James Shanes Danny Ayres Aaron Baseby Tom Stokes Shane Hazelden Jake Knight Josh Bailey Danny Halsey Connor Mountain Kyle Hughes Luke Priest Luke Chessell Brendan Johnson Lee Payne Danny Phillips Oliver Greenwood - - - - Whilst I understand that the above list would naturally (hopefully?) improve with more regular PL racing, only the riders I've bolded above could I genuinely see being competitive at this level. Maybe my lack of real interest in the NL is clouding my views here, but I don't think any of the rest either have the talent, ambition or the resources or even all three,to make it in this league. Some of them have been going for a while too. I'll be interested to see once the draft has finished in the EL whether there is any real improvement in the likes of Sarjeant, Starke, Wright etc, or whether the draft has just been enhancing their ability due to the odd race format.

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
JCookie replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Oh it's not for the sake of it, not when there's dimwits like you supporting them. Just do everyone a favour Starman and don't bother posting, some perfectly useful keyboard is being hit to produce your ramblings. -

This greatest of days is upon us. The original (and best) meeting previews are back! -
Stead Bates Compton Birks Garrity Castagna Sissis Or something?
-
Why cheer when any rider falls? Hardly an excuse because it was a home rider.
-
THAT WAS NOT A SERIOUS FALL AND NO ONE CHEERED. WHAT NOW? Might it be that they do just have no class?
-
How do you know? They cheered when he left his bike. They're so well suited to their snake of a promoter it's amazing.
-
After all we've heard and been through recently with a rider so close to Poole and you cheer when a rider falls off. Incredible, absolutely incredible. idiot jokers.
-
Especially given there are 2 reserves, no need for 7 rides.
-
Sometimes you wish someone would just put the sport out of it's misery and end all of this cheating bs from Ford.
-
Can't see any reason why not? Even if not, there has to be some sort of system to keep them at reserve surely?
-
They're all broadly the same these days, the answer to speedway's issues is to pretend it's 1985 again.
-
Can't wait for someone to get Zach Wajtknecht in the draft, him subsequently averaging 8 by mid-season and then the rules being changed.
-
God imagine an EL team lining up like that. Awful.

Who Should Get The Gp Wild-card Spots For 2016?
JCookie replied to Electric6's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Oh please don't give Lindback another one. It would be a travesty for him to get to June and fall apart as usual and put in some Kasprzak like performances. -
This Woffinden fiasco: Go back to having 25-20-18-16 for whoever gets to the final, and then whatever finishers 5th-16th score they keep their points. So, a rider scoring 33333+0, can not score more than the finalists. Stops this "I'm not interested in winning" lark. Secondly, what a p1ss take Woffinden's riding was on Saturday. We get his 'buddy' Hancock is battling Nicki for silver, but for god sake stop team riding Hancock round and then busting your balls to pass Nicki. What a clown he looks trying help out his 45 year old 'bro'. Ridiculous. Nigel Pearson: Stop making out that you're super clever by explaining how to pronounce Kildemand, before then pronouncing Zagar wrong. It was absolutely incredible that he can tell fans that Zagar is pronounced 'Zha-gar' in Slovenia (amazingly where he was born, and by people who speak his language) and then 30 seconds later lapse back to calling him Zagar again. I really wish there was an alternative to him and Tatum in the commentary box, even just alternating or only doing league/GPs. They come across poorly sometimes and although Nigel does a decent job, Tatum is just baffling at times. GPs: Stop picking boring tracks in these places, no-one wants 12 GPs a year spread across GB/Poland/Den/Swe granted, but if you're going to go elsewhere then make the spectacle worthwhile.

National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale
JCookie replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Will the terrace on the back be decent terracing and not the crap you find at Leicester etc where you can't see if you're 2/3 people deep.
