  1. Why do they have the connection check before letting you access? Literally no other website I've ever been on has it, and BSPL must get about 11 visitors on a good day.
  2. Does it strengthen them away from home? Yes. Is it a really a good thing that Lambert just outdoes a rider who's ridden here about 2 season's? No, which I think was the OPs point. Lambert is a great team man / journeyman, and speedway probably does need a few more like him, but you won't win leagues having riders with no improvement.
  3. There is a rider shortage in speedway in general, never mind only in Britain. Hardly any young riders coming through who aren't Polish, and most of those won't reach the top level. The product in this country probably does need to be reviewed, and weakened possibly, because I'd imagine your mid level journeyman probably struggle to make it pay for the most part. I'd agree with you there. Problem is if you weaken it more then it's not far off rock bottom.
  4. 11 home fixtures is roughly 25 weeks in current speedway terms so it's a plenty long enough season.
  5. I think if any rider asked for Poland money in the UK they'd be given short shrift. I'd say about 20% of Poland is probably silly money in this country, such is the gulf.
  6. The same "idiots" that everyone will be expecting to put their hand in the pocket to watch meetings next season. Great stuff.
  7. I have to say I agree with him, 2022 was Discovery's best SGP year ever. Only because it's the only one they've had What a waste of paper printing that interview. I assume it was Burbs doing the grilling? The same guy that noted the Discovery boss had a "taut" body during their big unveil. Weird.
  8. Are teams doing everything they can to look outside the box for riders - not just hoping the 250s produces something? Motocross/grass track/etc? How many more Boughens are out there.
  9. Knudsen's improvement not just eat up any gains from TJ though?
  10. "We did consider moving to Calcot but unfortunately Terry and Clark had to stop to relieve themselves during the journey, and consequently the drive took 47 minutes, so outside of our requirements. We keep trying. We're doing all we can."
  11. In fairness, and with respect to NKI, they were all better at their peak. I'd argue they all probably still are.
  12. Lawson and Poole did absolutely nothing wrong - just listen to Lawson discussing it on a Poole podcast for proof!1!1!
  13. No doubt by the time the houses are done they'll have lost planning permission on the new site, or it isn't financially viable any longer. They just can't catch a break. Bless.
  14. Surely you can swap whoever you like if all parties agree? Why they'd agree to swap them is another question, but surely possible.
  15. THJ I forgot to ask - was it you celebrating your 70th on the trip to Torun?
  16. Not sure what you mean? When the new Swindon track is built I'm sure we'll see an improvement...
  17. A ) Why are they appealing for a brand new motorsport venue as though someone might be throwing one away? Surely anyone connected to motorsports in the area has some awareness of what's happened at Swindon already? B ) Why are they getting involved with Gaming International to find a new track? The exact same people who have just driven them from their perfectly good home?
  18. He isn't but he probably isn't far off. Destined to become another mid-level Championship rider it seems, but he'll probably find a team place for as long as he wants one.
  19. When do you suggest they start then? Next year too soon? 2025?
  20. Progressive change over time? I think that'd be a good start as opposed to the zero changes they've made so far. I tell a lie, they did put a new stage in to present the riders. Which meant some fans couldn't see the racing at some tracks. Apart from that though they've done nothing.
  21. The Polish GPs are far and away better entertainment than Cardiff - and much cheaper. Next year's calendar looks boring already. Nothing has been changed since Discovery took over.
  22. It's obviously not their fault, and it's sad circumstances, but only British Speedway could create a competition to celebrate a reigning monarch who then dies before it is eventually completed.
  23. Hopefully let's some of the lesser lights make it pay as they're the ones we need to support. Nothing against them but the likes of Masters do not need the Championship.
  24. What about 200ish people putting in about £15 each?
