  1. Absolutely disgusting. His whole demeanor just came across like he won a cereal box competition to manage his favourite team. Smug isn't the word.
  2. Night full of regrets for BV you have to feel, letting slip a 10 point lead is bad but not having someone wipe the smug grin of Allitt's face is one that will haunt them.
  3. Fair play, not a fan of Woffinden but he's streets ahead of anyone else this year. Just a shame to see him so nonchalant about winning it, he's virtually guaranteed yet another world title and he seems like he couldn't care less.
  4. That explains it, he got to 10 and had no more fingers to count on.
  5. Dudek's injury certainly adds another headache for the selectors. Might we get no new riders in as WCs next season?
  6. Shovvy is a BSF legend though, he throws out bait constantly and is still reeling them in years later. I bet he'd be good crack over a pint. You're right about Gavan, very strange individual, addictive personality it seems.
  7. Would appear to me that Holder has done both of these things, and lives to tell the tale.
  8. Great post, really enjoyed it. Pleased to hear you had a good day, would love to start visiting some lower league stuff in foreign countries, interesting stuff.
  9. Surprisingly, the team manager was "Main Man" if I remember correctly.
  10. Good point. Why have any rules for Sheffield if they're going to finish bottom anyway?
  11. Auty in a massive crash and Lawson being a bit of a w4nker. Some things never change.
  12. Class rider but it'll be a shame to watch, even if he does well, given what he could have become.
  13. Roughly around 3 rides per meeting at reserve and 0 heat wins. Let's be honest if Simon Lambert replaced Bjerre it'd be a joke, should be no different because he's a young Dane. Rubbish is rubbish.
  14. Desperate move to get anyone bar Bjerre? Mountain for Lawlor is a very good move as well. Maybe they asked for dispensation to get a Leicester rider in and panicked when they couldn't?
  15. Just a shame they can't all be fitted in. No time for Hancock as a rider but he's better than Lindback, Kolidziej and Iversen, as are Holder, Doyle, Vaculik etc. Still prefer a challenge approach rather than 15 handpicked riders but it has its moments sometimes.
  16. Isn't it the cut-off this weekend? Tell Bjerre he's dropped after riding last night, therefore making him essentially unemployable? Nice.
  17. Sheffield aren't a bad side but you can't expect much when riders such as Howarth, Kurtz, Bjerre and maybe Wright have reached their level. They're good riders but they won't improve by the margins you need to win a league imo. Nicol is a good signing for the future and Shanes is probably worth another go, maybe Howarth or Wright too, but outside of that I'd tear it up and start again with just those 3.
  18. Wasn't Glasgow fans tho was it? There were 2500 fans there from all over the country.
  19. Didn't want to seem too critical because the place is light years from the Trashfield we knew, if the track carries on improving it'll be fantastic. Rival to the NSS.
  20. Steve is better and will continue to be better, but you're right that he should have been considered. However, Richie was sacked by Glasgow and there were rumours about him even last season with regards to the management so maybe that played a part?
  21. Despite it being pretty naff racing it was well worth the 500 mile round trip to see the top riders. Surreal watching Holder and Woffinden battle it out at a venue that I've seen Lee Dicken try to fight Pepe Franc. GB were just annihilated from the starts and was very little passing throughout really. Heat 8 was good. Woffinden class above really from a GB perspective. Aussies have a good future ahead, Fricke and Kurtz remind me of Adams and Crump in style and seem like decent blokes too. Jack Holder getting better all the time too. Glasgow have done a wonderful job with the stadium and facilities but, as the racing and criticism from a couple of riders proves, still work to do on the bit that matters.
  22. Kennett or Nicholls in the mid 00s must've been close. Maybe even Crump to Poole, if that was paid?
