  1. Remember when Doyle was a PL heat leader and youngsters like Bridger had Polish team places? Now where are they? Bewley is probably going to turn out better but right now Wright is better, probably not much longer but right now he is.
  2. Not sure what's so hilarious when a Premier League side have just been promoted and signed Nicki Pedersen. Lindgren to Wolves would be quite unsurprising by comparison.
  3. Doesn't seem to be in Poznan's side (although maybe he did sign a 2 year contract?) and would be a decent signing if a 5.2. If we're on the same wavelength...
  4. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Auty before now...
  5. Yeah there's definitely a common denominator with them all. It's frustrating when one tweet, regardless of origin, can be seen by hundreds, thousands and even millions of people and yet there seems little effort to put any effort in. I happened to look at a Championship club's Twitter the other night, they follow about 150 people, most of which are other speedway clubs/accounts - why aren't they getting out there following journalists/media etc etc and spreading their name? Baffling.
  6. The thing is it doesn't really take a lot to put decent stuff together (taking nothing away from those who do). I used to mess around on photoshop when I was 16/17 and the stuff that came out was better than most team's social medias. Never really understood why clubs don't just get a local University student to do some volunteer work, put a few photos/videos together and make some content, everyone's a winner.
  7. Why would you even mention that? We were rubbish last year and we're going to sign some of the same riders again.
  8. It would be a good signing in Pavlic, if it was achievable. He'd be excellent around BP.
  9. Pavlic seems to be one of Gniezno's top riders for next year, so I can't see him giving up Poland. Matthias Nielsen has signed for Torun as a reserve, he is a decent U21 Dane, so might fit the bill, but would anyone be thinking "how did they get him"?
  10. No one would have any idea who they are, or no one would expect them to be signed by Newcastle?
  11. Someone more financially adept than me will be able to provide more information, but the accounts of Somerset speedway on companies house don't look great.
  12. https://twitter.com/Ad_Royno4/status/1200179986482782210?s=19 His last tweet may be total coincidence, or it may not?
  13. He might not hit it but you'd rather give Ledwith a chance than give Morley another one. Morley, while admittedly wouldn't be a dreadful signing, is a good NL rider but probably not really good enough for the premier league.
  14. You got your answer well and truly there didn't you. Touched a nerve with someone it seems.
  15. He really is the gift that just keeps on giving. Wonderful stuff. It's like being down the pub listening to the drunk who's an expert on everything and won't hear otherwise. Can't wait to hear what he calls me this time, weirdo again I assume.
  16. In his case I wouldn't rule out any improvement. Charles Wright was never going to amount to anything more than a PL reserve a few years ago, he's now British champion. If Cook can manage a GP season then I reckon Wright could too.
  17. Kurtz v Holder Nicki v Kildemand What a heat 13 in store! Fireworks ahead.
  18. Welcome to the Premier League, Poole....
  19. The fact that someone else (maybe even 2?) had posted his name about a week before suggests this person wasn't very in the know at all. Sad.
  20. Yeah and that's what makes Janowski and Hancock, at the very least, boring riders. Look at the reaction on social media etc, and here, and see what this has done for many fan's passion for speedway next season. Who cares if he's a bit hard now and again, he's pure excitement.
