  1. Surely most Aussie lads just need to drive a bit inland & find a bit of scrub land to practice?
  2. Are the Mildenhall management taking any steps to avoid running ANY meetings within 1 or 2 days of any bangers or stock cars having been staged? This can surely be sorted @ this time with the 2 fixture co-ordinators involved. Then with that sorted I wish the 2023 fen tigers good crowds an enjoyable free from injuries season with all home meeting completed with-in 2 hours. If this isn't possible it's time to start looking to build a new (free from bangers) track.
  3. If you get 100 in the 100 club @ the £100 each that works out @ 10k not a bad little back-up I should think. It will be very interesting how you get on.
  4. After all the mud slinging last season when Steve Lawson jumped ship after initially agreeing to sign for Plymouth you might have thought lessons would have been learnt! Not so it would appear, if rumours are true it look's like the same thing has happened this time with Adam Roynon, shame on you Adam & Poole. We await all the excuses but facts are facts.
  5. Surely the next move "should be" to arrange the Fen Tigers home fixtures around the stock car fixtures to give plenty of time for "ideal" track preparation. This could also incorporate practice/training sections if planed well in advance. Good luck to better times this season then the last few, the Fen Tigers have a rich history of unearthing speedway talent, it would be great to see another Mike Lee, Melvyn Taylor or Carl Blackbird emerge from the Fens.
  6. I certainly feel it was a huge mistake to reverse the decision for 2 home 2 away for league matches in 2023. Was the vote taken by the whole committee or as it should have been just Championship promoters? Certainly not the choice of the fans.
  7. Maybe Osbourne knows he has to build a track, so why not build one miles out of town, that will tick all the boxes! Then he has the present site to build more houses & pocket more ££££'s. Meanwhile making sure Osbourne PLC. hold the freehold to the new site as another longer term money earner. I'm sure "Ba____ds" like Osbourne are 2 or 3 steps ahead of the rest of us including the local council!
  8. Surely the first thing the Ipswich management look for when considering any new signing is do they play golf?
  9. Zane Keleher was certainly entertaining on track in '21. On the strength of that & with his average fitting he would be worth a team place in '23. HOWEVER I know nothing how he is as a team player or his off track antics all to be taken into consideration!
  10. The BSPL would arrange the seminars but have proven experts from outside the sport to do the presentations.
  11. I've been saying for ages, I would love to see (@ all tracks) as much effort put into getting bums on seats as in team building. I've never been aware of the BSPL or it's predecessor ever holding any seminars on promoting or selling the sport!
  12. We all know you can add Lawson & the Cook brothers.
  13. Still not had a answer to the above. Apparently he's very good @ spending other peoples money & also one of life's perpetual failures although of course he would tell you a completely different story! I would love to see a new track in Somerset BUT it will need the right people behind it PLEASE!
  14. Jethro number one Cornishman of our era, left us a year ago today 14 December.
  15. Now that Ben has been given a team spot he should get over to Aussie where he can get some meetings & practice, practice, practice I still think Bens is in to early but wish the lad the best of luck for 2023.
  16. Does anyone know what money teams get with the BSN prodcast?
  17. I'm sure I know one of the sites & although a perfect venue it's a pain to get to! Good luck to the consortium but I think any meetings in 2023 will be a tad to early.
  18. Kileen did ride a NL meeting for Oxford @ Plymouth when he impressed everyone, the last newcomer to make the same impression on me was certain Tai Woffenden.
  19. 100% fingers crossed! How is Mr G. Daniels involved does anyone know?
  20. Pirates 2023 will be a very interesting, to jettison Captain Danny King was completely unexpected but there must be a reason & it's not the numbers game. To keep the Cook brothers is understandable but will 2023 see further improvement in both? Newman would be popular with most fans but I cant see the Fords going with him.
  21. If Ben Trigger was offered a team spot like any ambitious youngster he would say yes. But as keen & talented as he might be he needs a minimum of one more year in the conference. We should all realise that speedway is a dangerous motorcycle sport & that the risk involved should not be compromised.
  22. I feel the best solution for Mildenhall would be to build a BRAND NEW track close by the existing facilities. Therefore able to use the existing carpark etc. but have a track for speedway only. Most of the problems Mildenhall have had in recent years are because of the direct & indirect use & preparation of the track for stockcars & bangers!
  23. That will works brilliant in theory but in practice a "local sponsor" will pay the difference demanded!
