I would also like to see £100 fine (payable to the BEN fund) for any rider missing an official fixture, it's about time this mickey mouse situation was rectified. FAO Gary May........ With the sad demise of Coventry, might this be a gifted opportunity to strengthen-up the Rebels 2017 line-up? Gary is not one to stand back in the pursuit of trophies as we all know! as they say the early bird catches the worm.

A nice display of bikes by the Fen Tigers @ Paradise park on Sunday, also a good turn-out of current & former riders. Might be a good move to have a tigers reunion & get together down @ the fen in 2017 (Saturday evening) followed by with a home fixture on the Sunday. Well done to all involved on Sunday, anybody know how many? Mel Taylor looked young & fit enough that he could jump back on a bike tomorrow, but I don't think he would want to get dirty nowadays!

Phillip are you saying that speedways decline is all down to Simon Wigg?

This was for years the BMF rally (British Motorcycle Federation) in its heyday it attracted 80,000 over the weekend, for various reasons a couple of years ago MCN step-in & took the date over! Most years that the BMF ran the event it featured a vintage speedway demonstration which worked very successfully.

Very talented motorcyclist was Mike, after he's speedway days he got into vintage road racing & i'm told either crashed or won. Become very good mates with Barry Sheen, so much so he was a beneficiary in his will. A dab hand with engines, he has played a part in somersets Jake Allens success.

I would vote Wiggy every time, Simon was & still is the RIDER'S RIDER not only that, also a great ambassador with brilliant PR skills off track - never matched to this day. You can't dismiss Kelvin's results but it was all so textbook & boring by comparison.

With the exception of Peter Adams all the best & most successful team managers/coaches have been ex riders. Peter Adams has worked with & learnt from many top riders (O. Olsen etc.)but he is the exception. Laurence I can honestly say your talents can be better used running the overall show (i.e. CVS) ATB whatever you do.

Ever since the Witches dropped out of the Elite they have looked to be potential Champions but as yet have never delivered, will 2017 be the year?

Because the 2017 play-offs are being decided by playing DARTS (live on Sky) it has to be Slim Jim Tebby! P.S. (RIP Jim one of speedways good guys).

Laurence, that's a big mistake in my opinion, you (along with Mark) will have more than enough to do @ home meetings. You need a team manager/coach who can give the team both riding & machine advise & just as important keep the fathers of certain younger riders in check. I wish you both the best for 2017 & may your turnstiles merrily click away!

FOA Mark & Laurence With the N.L. fixtures out tomorrow, you would do well to run on any Friday that Zummerset don't have a home fixture, that alone could add 50-100 (Exeter based) to your gate. Any clues yet for team manager/coach? Not long now!

I don't pretend to know all the issues here but the way I see it: 1. If ISG did not complete the building of the stadium on-time & to the specified requirements they must be responsible? 2. If the landlord MCC have not fulfilled their obligations to the tenants Gordon/Morton then they must be responsible? 3. If Gordon/Morton have withheld the rent (build not completed) this is an everyday action in landlord/tenant disputes. 4. If Gordon/Morton have debts within speedway that's not good, but how much effect did the cancelled meetings have on their finances? I have seen some details online showing huge losses by ISG. All said Belle Vue speedway is currently the best race track in the U.K. & must be up & running in 2017.

I have meet CD face to face he's a very down to earth person despite his wealth & most importantly has a motorcycle background............. Have you been in contact with Chris Dawson (THE RANGE) he used to race pre'65 scrambles. As a very successful businessman he won't just had you a load of cash - you will have to show you have something worth buying!!!! good luck for 2017.

Council officials should be transparent with their actions & taxpayers money, but obviously not in Manchester! looks like we have a choice: 1. Don't ask contentious questions & get Belle Vue Speedway in 2017. or 2. Ask contentious questions, get delays & have no Belle Vue Speedway in 2017.

This is not good for G.B. Speedway, this team should not be approved by the BSPA/SCB the "3rd." division should be all about developing young British riders. I can also state that a few years ago I refused to ride in this league for that reason!

What have we here? a lot of people with views of what actions SHOULD have taken place! I think the whole thing is a technical legal mess with solicitors rubbing their hands with glee. The new Belle Vue is the best race track in the U.K. without a doubt & a must-have for a successful 2017 G.B. Premiership. Speed is not what solicitors do, unless things get sorted quickly are the Aces going to be at the tapes for 2017?

Come on all you Rebels supporters - now we are in the top division we need plenty of activity on this forum. My biggest disappointment is the selection Graveson for 2017 I can't see Garys thinking behind that one - time will tell!!
