I think it is wisely recognised by most fans and especially the riders themselves that Phil Morris has put a lot of time and effort into youth, U21 and FTD duties for very little in return. When the idea of a FTD was adopted no-one had a plan on how it should be or administered Phil devised a system that was agreed by ALL promotions. He asked for their full support and that all promotions/team managers make an extra effort to support all the draft riders in events outside EL, all pledged they would! How many actually showed up at events apart staging promotions? I think you'll probably guess that answer without me telling you! Plenty willing to talk the talk, but apart from Neil Vatcher very few others walk the walk. Youth development / FTD riders in the UK will be a poorer place without him. As for the Compton situ, he's given the knockers an honest response and when you see that he genuinely beat an opponent in around 20% of his races do you think some of the flak he has taken on here and social media was justified? Especially as he had asked the authorities to release information which they failed to do! Phil worked bloody tireless in his role - let's see how well things go in his absence.

Shame our Captain couldn't bring himself to wave the Union Jack like the rest of his team mates on the parade truck! Fair play to Rosco, Stead's inclusion was justified -
Almost 200 Birmingham season ticket holders, so good PR move from Bees, but seeing they are only tenants not really much income for the Bees promotion, apart from programme and maybe a bit of merchandise. Can't see why or how they should/could implement something for Brum's non season ticket holders? How do propose they would manage it Art? It certainly wouldn't be elementary for my dear Watson! Perhaps he was totally fed up with being totally undermined all the time, realised what was going on behind the scenes and wanted no part of it! Not many employees quit half way through a half decent contract for the sake of it!

The blue bean counter and his son are certainly are experts in one thing as they have expertly avoided paying riders, other clubs, medical cover, the GRA, printers and club officials........where has the sponsorship, sky tv, season ticket and turnstile cash gone? and who put up the LOOTY up for the bond that has been exceed with their debt? Lovely 14 plate Merc that someone is driving around the West Midlands in!

An even bigger question could be will he get **** if he does? -
Is Wayne still deep in negotiation with the blue chip headline sponsor of the league? That would be finger licking good Colonel!

Signing Peter Ljung is a big gamble but when his head is switched on he can mix it with the best. -

My apologies I meant Pavlic. Old age does terrible things with the mind. Have amended post. -

When the Ukranian lad failed to secure permission to ride in the challenge. BSPA were asked to nominate a rider for number 18 jacket Kennett and 1 other Brit both declined. Harris accepted. Pavlic the number 17 then produced a sick note so Barker accepted second reserve spot and Harris moved to 17. When Zagar withdrew Harris was promoted to meeting proper even though pavlic tried the I am much better now trick. So yes massive stroke of luck for Bomber to get into field in first place but at the end if the day he did the business on the track on the night and earnt his right to be there by the rules of the competition. So why don't we accept this bit of luck and back the guy, it's great to have two Brits in the field. Love for him to prove knockers wrong and get in top 8. He's working with a new team behind scenes which just could help him back to more consistent performances that we know he is capable of. -
Rebels team building plans will have to change as Brady Kurtz won't be a 3 pt, with his decision not to be a Brit and prior Danish Exp! 5 point PL average and no NL place with Cradley

King, Barker and Kennett will be a solid middle order, but don't fancy putting any bucks on their potential number 1.

With Joonas Kylmäkorpi coming back to Arlington, I think the Eagles might ruffle a few feathers next season.
