Message To The Leicester Promotor
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
David hemsley will NOT listen to anyone FACT, fans have complained about the track from day one and now we are into the third season and its still the same and the racing is really dire,But having spent alot of money there to witness what i have seen i feel robbed as do others. Speedway wont last in leicester unless changes are made to the track, fans are fed up. Like i said, hemsley needs to listen to the paying public and not attack them in his programme notes -

Yes i have said it to his face and to AJ aswel, its not working, also other people have said to them about the track and the poor racing. This is the third season now, enough is enough -
Mr Hemsley you made it very clear in your programme notes your views about fans moaning on the internet and also that you were not happy about the recent poor attendance of the leicester v edinburgh match which was run on a wet and cold night and you said unless fans support speedway in leicester they could lose it. Simple way to stop fans moaning and not walking away from the club is to listen and make the track changes fans expected, People go to expect to see racing with passing, this has very rarely happened at BP since it opened. You said after the first season ended that track changes were going to happen over the winter but they never did and many fans were not happy to sit through a second season of watching a track that riders couldnt pass on walked away but many loyal hardcore fans stayed in the hope you would change it and there was even talk of changes mid season last year but you said the riders didnt want change, you chose professional riders who should adapt to any track before the paying public, not a good move, then during the winter you said the track changes were to be made, the date kept getting later, it was then said you were waiting for glyn taylor to return from austrailia but then you quickly did the changes Your way a day or two before he came back, you moved the track a meter inwards which even fans know that it would make No difference, Its sad as many were expecting big changes and went out and bought season tickets due to that happening, can you imagine the disapointment having spent all that money to witness a third season with the worst track in speedway,You blamed the fans for not supporting the club last week against edinburgh but you are the one killing the sport in leicester not the fans . Many fans like myself have had enough and your rant in the programme was the final straw, you need to put your hands up and say you got it wrong and make changes NOW if you really care about leicesters future.

I take it your Not happy with DH tiny changes that we all knew wouldnt make a difference but your hands are tied and you cannot speak your mind at the moment which many fully understand. Do you honestly think you will have many fans left to watch the lions come september if drastic track changes are not made ? Attacking fans in the programme was a very bad move and didnt go down well at all last night.

You are seriously wrong, because even if GP riders were to race at BP then it would still be the same result, the track shape is all wrong FACT. Hemsley has messed it up, he tried to fool fans by saying track changes have been made, video evidence soon came out and showed he clipped the edges,no real difference to the track or the dire racing. Also toilet block with 3 urinals,he is out of his depth as a promotor, its his way or no way doesnt work as proven. Time he listened to experts or sold up for the sake of leicester speedway
-
Good win but that was the same crap racing as we have seen since it opened, the only passes were due to 2 mistakes, its time Hemsley sold up for the sake of leicester speedway.
-
Delayed start time then
-
What do you expect, the promotion have no respect for the fans
-
I thought he was part of the darcy stand crowd
-
Yes it was darcy who said adam would be back in action very soon, horton said different that he wouldnt be back soon and wouldnt rush him back which darcy had a dig at horton that he didnt know anything, Roynon has not yet said when he will be back, its all down to the headaches clearing and doctors saying he can race again. I think it will be some time. So there you are NEB
-
I thought i heard a leicester promotor say on the radio adam will be back very soon or was it in a few weeks he said? also didnt he have a dig at mr horton about the coventry boss saying adam could be out for the season?
-
Yes i heard it, I would be surprised if he returns this season or is allowed to return. He says he still has an headache but its getting better, plus when he is travelling in a car as a passenger looking out is abit weird even at 30mph, so it seems the bang on his head is causing vision aswel aswel as headaches, I think bad head injuries should have a min time off and for leicester saying he will be back very soon is out of order as he needs time to get well.

Say that to those who feel robbed about the lack of changes or those who gave it another chance and said enoughs enough, DH has taken the pee out of the fans. Crowds were down big time last week and dont blame it just on the weather or the fixture, alot of fans expected a big track changes, its the same as last year and the year before and its only idiots like you who dont see its killing leicester speedway..
-
Any plans on a change of track shape yet glyn in a hope of stopping anymore lions fans walking away, a fair few fans have already chucked the towel in and said no more. Do you think anybody will get david to listen, his lack of taking expert advice is putting the future of the lions at risk.

Track shape again showed its not going to work even though the surface was spot on tonight. You only had to look at the riders trying everything to pass and its near on impossible unless a mistake is made. I was shocked when they decided to have an interval, it was freezing by then and there was no need for it, also a group of us were intending on watching the youngsters ride but there was too much messing around with the first team and chit chat, too cold for hanging around so we sadly gave it a miss. Heard lots of moans about the toilets again and the wait,You have to question the promotion and there lack of organisation as it has so much potential at BP but badly run. I must say the man in the middle got right on my nerves today, loves the sound of his own voice and a yes man. Great win for the lions and looking forward to going to a proper racetrack on thursday and seeing the lions win away
