I am lost to why you come on a leicester thread spouting off yet you hav'nt put any money into the club, why dont you use your time supporting your local team newcastle and be thankful you have speedway up there and let us discuss our local club that many of us have funded yet have had enough of the way its being run. am i the only one who doesnt see leicester lions surviving under the current promotion.

I think the woman your on about is the co-promotors wife who had done an awful amount of work up there. people told me i didnt know what i was on about months ago when i said it was a club in crisis,its sad to say but its in a real mess and i fear for its future under DH.

Let me start by saying you mentioned about putting supporters off and the fear of losing speedway at leicester, this bit DH is doing all by himself, Just look at the amount of staff & helpers that have walked away, look at the sponsors who have walked away,look at what happened up there a few weeks ago with a sponsor who puts money in to help keep leicester speedway in buisness. DH is his own worst enemy,if you really think i am putting fans off then you need to look closely to the promotion. The track is what has to be right in speedway to make it entertaining and make the fans want to comeback. You said why do i and others keep going on about the track,the more pressure then maybe he will listen before its too late and speedway closes at BP.

Yes hemsley sacked him,but then i have never known an aussie to keep quiet and when people are saying how bad glyns track was last week i find it hard that he hasnt defended himself on why the track was that bad,that is if he thought it was bad. Why are you that bothered about a track hours away from your home when you have a local track in newcastle ? I didnt start out disliking DH but he is killing the sport at leicester and after alot of expert advice he still refuses to make changes to the shape of the track and the fans are departing BP and going elsewhere. He has fallen out with so many people within 3 seasons and you really would like a guy like this at sunderland ? Spot on post, when you have tracks like somerset,scunny,kings lynn which produce great racing and DH decides to ignore these proven tracks and build it his way. I agree with what you have said, you cant knock the facilities but i would rather lose them and have a good track. Maybe glyn will come on and answer your views on the track surface

Your right mick the stadium is great but that wont keep fans wanting to come back,people have said long eaton was a dump but it had an amazing race track,seen many good races there. Fans are not coming anymore from local tracks like they were because of the track, lions hardcore fans are slowly going elswhere,DH is not helping the future of leicester speedway,Sad thing is had DH listened to experts in the first place and got the track right i am sure leicester would of been the best supported club in speedway. sad that its in a real mess and the future looks bleak

I now pick my matches,Why am i so bothered, I care about my local team and what i see is that one man who wont listen to anyone is killing it after a 28 year wait for it to return. Its common knowledge that the crowd is dropping alarmingly and people are fed up with the lack of racing. if DH cares about leicester speedway he would sell it now so that someone can save it from closing.

Oh and talking of the death of the elite league which has been dying since all the top boys left, doesnt DH see being in that league as the future of leicester speedway,lol he should be looking at the track and not the dying elite league.

how many will still be watching the lions come september, crowds are dropping and hardcore fans are now walking away too. So like many lions fans who have gone to watch speedway elsewhere you may end up coming to join us next season,then you will see what speedway racing is about and not gate and gone.

Bikerfm listened to you mick and gave a phone number out this week,maybe a week late but they listened to you, now try and get DH to listen to you and fans may just return to support speedway in leicester again and not go elsewhere to watch racing.

its abit unfair to judge one poor meeting at sheffield compared to leicesters 3rd season of constant crap racing

DH will probally value it at 5m if he thinks moving the track would be 1m it will be closed down sooner than later unless the track changes as crowds are falling. why do you bother coming on this thread if it offends you that much?
