Parked up 10 mins away,long queue to get in but some great banter while waiting to get a ticket,we went in with lovely sunshine beaming down and excited about the new season but what a let down with crap out of the gate racing yet again. People turned out for a special cause and many newbies turned up today but how many will return? The only downside is the crap track,the viewing from around the track is superb. DH & Leicester will struggle as the season goes on as people won't pay to watch gate & go at BP

the weather looks too sunny for speedway at Leicester Let's hope it's doesn't get long delays for sun breaks.

The last time that Team GB raced at Leicester it took 4hrs to complete the meeting.

Isn't there an empty stadium at Hinckley ? Surprised the football didn't move there as it's nearer than Northampton but it could house speedway

They could be better talking to Coventry city who are looking to build a new stadium soon,tracks around football/rugby pitches have been good in the past.it could be an ideal situation and backed by the council.

Rockingham In Northamptonshire not far from where Coventry City play home matches,that sounds ok then. Like I said if fans are that concerned contact the current Rugby Mayor, he is an ex Coventry rider,must have some clout and Brandon falls under his area.

just reading that Brandon is under rugby council, maybe people should email the Mayor of Rugby for his support to keep it a speedway venue as he is a former speedway rider and rode at Brandon for Coventry it says,just a thought.

Don't you think putting an experienced manager in place first would of been the best plan. You really do believe those above have the experience at EL to get the best team capable of winning the league.lol
