Is this meeting on 365 tonight ? -
I remember bees number 1 tommy Knudsen doing a wheelie coming off the fourth bend to win the race at Swindon and coming a cropper but can't remember if he fell before the Finnish line or after it.

Leicester V Wolverhampton 29 March

Another TMW Classic you would rather money be spent on a permanent stand than making the track race able so the fans can be entertained. Let's go to Leicester speedway tonight they have a lovely permanent stand,it doesn't matter about if anyone over takes because we are sat in the permanent R72 stand LOL TMW you have again made me smile -

I and many others have Been saying that from day one,the shape is wrong but hemsley won't listen as he thinks it's a superb race track that produces stunning races? -

I must live in a very different society to you then as I cannot think of anyone I know or their families who have disfigured their body to that extent. Tai is Not a Role model on appearance in many people's eyes, not just mine. I think his racing, bravery & charity work is top class tho What was your question again ? -

He also thinks watching paint dry is exciting hehe Leicester is the most boring track I have ever watched speedway. Crowds dropped in a big way last season, the hype and crowds due to moving up to the Elite league won't last long if as expected the racing is still non existent. like you said there are so many other things to see and cheaper. -

No Rain but the meeting is OFF Just Not good enough and shows clearly why speedway is no longer popular. -
Leicester 2014 . Elite
robert72 replied to jim the whipper's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree with what you say but there's a Big IF in there which is my worrying point. Let's hope the promotors plough in to the British kids what they would of for a foreign reserve. -
You cannot compare speedway from years ago with today's watered down stuff. In years to come speedway in this era will be remembered for the problems.

I think it was wrong to put the kids in the elite league even at reserve, they could be destroyed by the pressure on them by the team and some fans. -
Speedway was filled with world class riders some 25 years ago and it's just slipped downhill fast. The name Elite should be changed now as it's not that good anymore and look how weak the GP is this year says it all. As to Brandon I have been blessed to have seen the greatest riders in the world there along with some real wild entertainers riding the fence,it's been a good racing venue and will be a sad loss for speedway.

Come on glyn, don't kid yourself as you know the track is far from great for speedway racing. DH was also making out that Leicester people will see the very best of world class speedway at Leicester this I feel is misleading the public abit as the elite league is not much better than the premier league and world class riders like pederson, hancock, hampel, gollob, holder, sayfutdinov won't be in the elite league as it's so watered down now. When was the last time you could honestly say our top league was world class ? 1989 ? -
Sadly shows how far the sport has sunk when fans get excited when speedway gets a rare mention on tv.

we are talking about his appearance and like I said that's a mess in a lot of people's eyes. Greg,Jason,Nicki P they are World Class role models you want your kids to follow there every step. -

He looks a real mess, do people seriously think he is a real role model to kids or a great advert to speedway off a bike? He doesn't have the right image -
Like he's bothered what you think. His body, his life... Tai is not the kind of role model that 99% of parents would wants there kids to be like. He looks a real mess As to the meeting being called off Its a shambles the sport hit a real low today that won't be forgotten by sky or those who spent a lot of money travelling there. They have had 2 days to get it right for a televised meeting NO Excuses
