  1. I don't like the fact that some riders keep putting out the begging bucket, if they cant afford it then they need to get off there backsides and get sponsors or give up. Sounds tough but how many self employed people do you know struggling that would beg customers for money by pleading poverty about needing new tools to do there jobs ? I have no problem giving to the Ben fund and will support Ricky ashworth but that's it.
  2. This seems Not to be the case. from OP I just went on what I was told by Adam himself and this price was confirmed by several other riders. Maliniak cost £950 + postage. If you're unsure on this, contact them yourselves as I did and had it confirmed. Either way the £1000 was just a target, didn't mean it had to be raised, it was just a benchmark. He's more than happy to have any help towards them. Riders should Not be allowed or to be part of any begging to fans, if they want anything then go and get sponsors or pack it in.
  3. Plus a programme, not sure how much they are this year ?
  4. Common sense is not what some promotors have these days. £10 for an evening out watching Coventry v Leicester is affordable & tempting to newbies & casuals.
  5. Agree about the dogs trust, ect But if it's not the riders begging then the riders need to speak up as it doesn't look good on them.
  6. Only in Speedway lol Some riders are so keen to hand the bucket out for whatever they need nowadays. Best one was a yank rider who wanted British fans to buy airfare tickets so his wife & kids could fly over and live in another country (Poland) lol Collections should only be made for riders like ricky ashworth and similar riders with long term injuries.
  7. I am sure we will see a fired up bees team on Friday, just hope the lions are not thinking it will be another easy meeting and then get stuffed. Think bees will win by 10 points as they look too strong at home.
  8. it didn't catch doyle or auty out, bees were just out gated on a gaters track
  9. Superb home win, One decent race out of 15 heats . Track was slick and crowd looked thin for a local derby. Think the lions will do really well this season at home.
  10. Someone needs to tell them that a lot of fans won't pay £25 plus £4 for a programme,it's far too expensive.
  11. Yes he was and then Hans flew back home today as his mother passed away so that's why he won't be racing at Leicester.
  12. So you want him to race on Mother's Day a few days after losing his mother ? I think him turning up for P&P for Coventry shows his commitment to the club,as for racing his head won't be ready for a few weeks I doubt.
  13. Robbing the fans using R/R speedway is a 7 man team event and a suitable replacement should be found.
  14. Haven't they had All winter to check things are working ?
  15. I agree prices should be reduced with a max £10 for this meeting.
  16. I feel if people pay good money they expect top entertainment not riders practising or trying out bike set ups,one way for newbies never to return.
  17. The product is a massive problem at Leicester & the management don't seem to want to fix it. With so many top riders walking away including britains number one rider it says it all for speedways future in the uk. Speedway racing needs to improve and it needs to be cheaper.
  18. Great Line up and I wish it a success for rory but why couldn't these riders offer there services to the Ben fund as it would of doubled the amount of money for injured riders.
  19. ELRC £25 plus programme is what is killing speedway, its becoming a rich persons sport Speedway needs to be a £10 sport
  20. when the top Brits don't make the effort to ride in the Ben fund its another sad day for British speedway. Well done Ben barker top lad
  21. I think it's disappointing that tai, bomber, scott & cook are not riding for England in something so worthwhile in our country as the Ben fund.
