Both of them contribute towards what is wrong with British Speedway but your not educated enough to understand the many reasons why British speedway is dying so quickly. -
Should Rosco Still Be Team Gb Manager
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
rosco has made many comments about the lack of opportunities the Brit riders have racing abroad to gain experience yet he stops a Brit racing in the British elite league over helping foreigners ? Rosco also thought Kyle was good enough to be in the national squad a few weeks ago but not good enough to keep at Swindon ? -
Should Rosco Still Be Team Gb Manager
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think Scott nicholls or Martin dugard would do a good job, both passionate Brits who have a huge amount of knowledge that if allowed could really put the Brits back on the world stage in the next 5 to 8 years. I hope rosco does the right thing and resigns now. -
A lot of debate about rosco sacking a good young British rider in the British elite league to bring in One foreign rider coming back from a alcohol ban and an unknown foreign rider. Should rosco now resign as team GB boss yes or no ? I think YES because he has gone against what he said about the need of bringing on the British riders.
-
He should now resign as team GB manager as he has gone against what he has banged on about putting British riders first & helping them. This is where I agree with not giving so many foreign riders work permits, when British riders lose there chance of gaining experience in their own country over foreigners who use British speedway & then clear off when they want too.
-
Even worse dumped by team GB manager who says he is passionate about the future of British riders.
-
So the England team manager has dropped an English rider for foriegn riders in the English Elite league, that sums him up. Rosco should resign as the manager of the national team now as he clearly has no respect for an English riders career.

Think I would rather watch it on TV from now on, it's an expensive day out or weekend now, plus it's time the GP went to a nice London arena. -
When you try to compare tai & Peter collins it's wrong, when pc rode the sport was full of world class riders, now it's just a couple of them.

Good luck as speedway is a dying sport now thanks to those who have run it down to the ground over the last 25 years. Hope rugby council find the bees a new home -

robert72 replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Look at Leicester on Monday they reduced admission and the fans and newbies came out in large numbers. Coventry,Lakeside & Kings Lynn should learn from Swindon & Leicester -

Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Nothing wrong with premier league racing on sky far from it,just a shame Leicester has been over looked by sky. However If what flagrag says is correct that the floodlights are the reason then the blame falls to DH -
Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I am not sure I buy into your reasons why sky haven't been to Leicester earlier due to poor floodlights,Swindons are imho a lot worse, belle vue, lakeside too, also can't remember Wolverhampton being any brighter. Why have sky not shown Leicester away from home yet either, not bright enough team kevlars ? I think there is more to it as several premier league team have had more coverage on sky than Leicester. -

It seems pretty clear Sky don't like filming at Leicester. Is it the Track or Promotion ? -

Glyn posts on here so I hope he will speak up if it wasn't his track prep yesterday but I was made aware he was in control of it. -

You mean honest & not rose tinted about the sport dying. -
Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The racing has been dire since it opened, the rare good race is not enough to keep fans paying out £17+ a meeting. How many of those who paid £7.50 will return at full price to watch gate and go ? As for track prep I didn't see ronnie out there dictating to glyn how it should be done,it was glyn on the tractor sorting the track It's now time DH listened to the fans and changed the track, shorten the straights now or it will be the end of Leicester speedway as it was a tv horror show last night and the highlight was a stuffed toy lion appearing behind the sky puppets. -

DH says his track is the best in the country So many fans must be pleased that sky only go there once a year. Great win for the lions
