Looked a very poor turn out & wondered if there was there any price reductions or was it full price ? -

Yes I heard it and thought it was wrong but he favours Poole as do sky, how many times were middlo and Poole riders interviewed compared to Kings Lynn ? -
Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Nothing wrong with premier league racing on sky far from it,just a shame Leicester has been over looked by sky. However If what flagrag says is correct that the floodlights are the reason then the blame falls to DH -
Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I am not sure I buy into your reasons why sky haven't been to Leicester earlier due to poor floodlights,Swindons are imho a lot worse, belle vue, lakeside too, also can't remember Wolverhampton being any brighter. Why have sky not shown Leicester away from home yet either, not bright enough team kevlars ? I think there is more to it as several premier league team have had more coverage on sky than Leicester. -

It seems pretty clear Sky don't like filming at Leicester. Is it the Track or Promotion ? -

Glyn posts on here so I hope he will speak up if it wasn't his track prep yesterday but I was made aware he was in control of it. -

You mean honest & not rose tinted about the sport dying. -
Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The racing has been dire since it opened, the rare good race is not enough to keep fans paying out £17+ a meeting. How many of those who paid £7.50 will return at full price to watch gate and go ? As for track prep I didn't see ronnie out there dictating to glyn how it should be done,it was glyn on the tractor sorting the track It's now time DH listened to the fans and changed the track, shorten the straights now or it will be the end of Leicester speedway as it was a tv horror show last night and the highlight was a stuffed toy lion appearing behind the sky puppets. -

DH says his track is the best in the country So many fans must be pleased that sky only go there once a year. Great win for the lions -

Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
robert72 replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This is Leicesters one match of the season again unlike other teams who have more sky meetings,so they will have to get it right & make sure there riders have tinted goggles & send them out. -
Peterborough V Glasgow 24/6/15
robert72 replied to Noodles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Looked a poor crowd, saw a bunch of kids jumping up and down to get on tv with little interest in speedway. Teams need to look after the hardcore fans first as without them they would be in trouble. -

The Dilemma Of Greg Hancock

Riders dumping fellow riders in the fence has been ongoing for decades but should of been stopped years ago. -

Voucher deal No good for away fans who have travelled from Swindon. They deserve what ever the lions fans are getting for free. -
At lakeside it was only a tenner to those who showed a programme from the last match. I think that is disgusting for any away fan,and they wonder why fans stay away. Some promotors are killing the sport.
-
Feel for any wolves fans who went down there & paid Full Price to watch it yet home fans who attended the last match got in for a tenner. Lakeside Promotors should ashamed. Sky matches should be half price admission for everyone. Lakeside looked empty just like the Coventry sky match, yet Swindon at £5 was packed.

Trying to stay awake watching this boring meeting.
-
Very poor crowd
-
Are all the fans getting in cheaper as it's on sky ?

I thought nicki rode well on Saturday and a deserved winner . Lucky Greg wasn't in that meeting as it would of been too tough for him Another fantastic meeting. -
Leicester V Belle Vue 20/6/15
robert72 replied to stevethelion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
My views have only changed since he turned his back on British speedway,I was a big fan before then but why support someone who doesn't ride in the uk? I also won't cheer Doyle on against bomber or cook. -

I will be supporting the 2 English riders bomber and cook at Cardiff. As for the sun at KL when sky was there, if you noticed some riders had tinted goggles,be interesting if the sun is out at Leicester that night to see if they carry on. Superb lions win last night
