  1. Doyle back at Swindon next year then ? Leicester is Not worth anywhere near what DH valued it a few years ago.
  2. He was lost the newbies as races were over after the first turn, now diehards are leaving, he needed to reshape the track and have regular meetings to keep people interested, it's a lot of money for what's on offer at BP.
  3. Would Leicester have been in a better position had they stayed in the premier league ?
  4. you have hit the nail on the head, many riders are riding fatigued .
  5. You know the risks racing speedway and you also know the risks driving fast on the motorway but you never think you will get badly hurt or you wouldn't do either.
  6. Don't think the lions will win this one. If this is the last meeting of the season then the club must feel there is little interest in putting on individual or friendly meetings in Leicester, this would be worrying for the future of the club. Speedway ran up till the end of October not August.
  7. 1989 was a bad year I remember a death and a number of very serious injuries to top riders and other riders ,that's just one year looking back,I think several riders died in the 80's and a several paralysed too.
  8. Yet another Brit leaving the sport, sad news.
  9. Steve let's look at it this way both Leicester & Wolverhampton have raced 3 matches so far, is it Not 2 wins to 1 in the lions favour
  10. They May have to extend the play off dates to mid September
  11. I bet Tatum and Pearson can't sleep with the excitement of seeing their beloved golden boy return to Poole. Home win
  12. You mean a Leicester select team. I am hoping for an away win, wolves have yet to beat Leicester this season.
  13. thats not very nice Jacques,I thought this was a forum for opinions to be discussed, I share an opinion that I don't think dogs should be taken to speedway, that doesn't make me an idiot it's my point of view.
  14. It just seems to be a pattern within speedway, certain riders are protected whatever they do wrong.
  15. Outside of speedway In the real world greg would be facing serious charges of assault and there is no defence for gregs actions.
  16. Your post is laughable as if I am part of the promotion or I have the right to stop gem taking her dog,my views may not be solely my views but as gem said the promotion allow dogs so she can go,just I guess several people think it's not the place for dogs and they have an opinion like you do. Like I said I have never met the dog so don't know if it's friendly or not,my view is the safety of any dog. Back to the meeting, thought Kings Lynn won it on choice of guests,Ellis was outstanding and Lawson did a great job too,why do they carry on with bjerre,he is a weak link. With the large amount of kings Lynn fans there, stunned the team couldn't be bothered with a victory lap after.
  17. Gem, as a big dog lover Myself I just cannot understand why anyone would want to take a dog to a speedway meeting, it baffles me to why ? Your right I didn't see you or Lucy but I heard someone comment about a dog there.
  18. That's what your hoping for Steve as your team are so poor and are now faves to win the wooden spoon the lions should score over 50 tomorrow
  19. I remember a junior rider taking people off on a regular basis, he was out of control most of the time,I don't remember anyone doing to him what Hancock did to pedersen and he was lethal.
  20. Yes that's right david Knix and it was tony Sanford at exeter. I can remember Kevin Holden losing his life at Poole he was a really nice man,sad loss. As to NP and people talking about him being a danger on the track,I guess he is not as dangerous as a rider willing to ride with alcohol in his system.
  21. You could sadly add Kevin Holden at Poole,a lad at exeter also Paul machene plus a young rider at kings lynn I think.
