So you think there grand opening date in Manchester may not happen then? Will BP be ready too ?
-
It would only be good if it allowed the management to afford to bring in a world class number 1 that would bring in the crowds. It's not a company I have heard of but well done them for sponsoring the team when it seemed nobody were interested.

2017 - 1 Or 2 Fixed Race Nights And When?
robert72 replied to 1 valve's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As everyone knows Matt Ford runs speedway and Poole race night is Wednesday so I bet that will be the night chosen plus Jon Cook is not the brightest of people so I don't trust what he says anyway. -

The fixed race night will be on a Wednesday -
Why the club fails to get sponsors maybe 1) poor team 2) poor track 3) poor website 4) poor media pr at the club 5) poor advertising for sponsors with only one meeting a season on sky Just a few possible reasons

Bomber has been a great servant to British speedway and deserves a dry & sunny meeting with a large crowd. -
How many riders will the lions have once the polish and Swedish leagues starts ?

Ben Fund Meeting 2016
robert72 replied to stevehone's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
They are all interested in the Manchester meeting, maybe that's where the money is as they are all available for that one. While fans like you defend the undefendable, had this been the Darcy ward meeting they all would be there and this meeting is as important. So why is the British number 1 and current world champion also missing ? you may disagree but he has long forgotten about the Ben fund and only looks after his interests and what's good for him. -

What you called me really sums what you up. What holder went through with his mate most fans would think he would be Begging to ride and help this amazing fund raising meeting, sadly holder and a number of GP riders are not interested in the Ben fund but are for the Manchester opening meeting, shame on them. -
Looking for a boys kevlars age 10 but a chunky 10 Thanks

The top boys can turn up at Manchester but not for the Ben fund at Kings Lynn, well done to those who agreed to ride, shame on holder & co who hasn't bothered. -
Was she in charge of team building then
-
I guess a lot of people thought it would be a waste of time as the promotors have failed to listen for the past 30 years and that's why the sport is in this mess.

Out of interest, does DH give the volunteers free tickets ?

Why is Chris holder Not riding ? -
£21 including programme I think Leicester will struggle to get people to go with that team line up. I guess the promotion will not charge that price for the friendly match against Sheffield or BP would be empty.
-
Leicester City has surprised the football world with no big stars at the start of the season and are top, maybe the Leicester speedway team can do the same and win the league ? Who knows
-
If Leicester were to get injuries to key riders would the club fold as how would they get replacements as they have spent months trying to get key riders and are still trying
-
Anyone know how much Leicester are charging fans for the friendly match against Sheffield ?

Not seen the line up but is tai and holder riding ? -
There's no rush with the track as they haven't got 2 key riders to make a team worth watching yet. I guess season ticket sales have not gone very well.
-
I don't see the problem of both Coventry & Leicester racing on Friday nights, two big city's shouldn't rely on each other's fans supporting both clubs to balance the books.

Things Looking Brighter For Young British Riders

Whatever happened to Linlithgow ? -
DH said he had the best track in speedway that produced awesome racing ? Last time changes were made it was laughable shaving 12inches off the entrance to the corner, the straights needs shortening by 3 or 4 metres to make any difference. Will speedflash come on and say what his plans are to improve ?
