  1. You really shouldn't talk for Everyone as Everyone wouldn't agree with you. Maybe you should of looked at the likes on the opening page before you posted Everyone.
  2. You talk as if DW died, maybe you should take a look at alex zanardi and what he has done since his horrific accident.
  3. You would think a statement would be out by now. If they don't change the track shape they are not going to get big numbers through the gate.
  4. So it's a disgrace to say ricky ashworth deserves to be looked after more than someone who can afford a house on the Gold Coast and a luxury holiday to vegas, I think it's a disgrace people like you would prefer to support a foreigner over a brit.
  5. PK got £3000 to guest for Leicester he scored 3pts and looked like he wasn't interested in racing. Riders who guest can often get a set fee. Even when there was a wage cap certain riders were paid more.
  6. I wouldn't want to be a TM in this era as riders have to much control of what they will and won't do.
  7. So Poole have No Disabled or Elderly fans anymore. Not sure how you can defend his comments as a Poole fan or the need for a benefit meeting for someone who can afford a house on the Gold Coast and a luxury trip to Las Vegas, which doesn't strike me as someone like ricky ashworth who was in desperate need of help with a benefit meeting.
  8. If it's too cold for DW then it's Too cold for the fans to turn up surely ?
  9. No holder at Poole no me at Poole. What even is speedway in U.K. Anymore 🤔 This tweet from Darcy Ward today has highlighted his loyalty to the Poole promotion and the fans. Also speedway fans in the UK who have supported him so well since day one and dug deep for him, So Poole fans won't seem him again if his mate holder isn't in the team shame on him but not surprised. Will Poole now run his benefit meeting ? If so will fans boycott it like he will Poole if holder don't ride. Once again he has shown his true colours.
  10. He was by far the best promoter I ever dealt with and really fair to riders, very few as good as he was and the same for streety as manager, both great people and sadly missed in speedway.
  11. I thought Pete was an excellent promoter when I was at Poole, he looked after everyone, very professional unlike many promoters in the sport.
  12. I seem to remember streety bringing in several Aussies at Poole and he had his contacts in Austrailia watching the young Aussies progress and getting Pete to sign them. He was a great manager.
  13. Going on the title of the thread, it's clear most parents won't take there kids on school nights to watch speedway, also meetings drawn out is hard to take for the older fan but young newbies would soon be bored. I don't hear anything that will bring young fans to speedway in large numbers.
  14. I thought boocock was a great manager, the same as bill and middlo but there was some very poor ones in my time too but I can also say the same about promoters good and very bad.
  15. So will somerset and rye house now become mid week tracks as they were Friday/Saturday tracks.
  16. Was that at the old berwick track ? I hated that place, it was as bad as lakeside and I thought dangerous as it was so tight. I have seen some horrific crashes and many have walked away but also seen riders slide off and have bad spinal injuries, think it was crossy I saw who slid off and broke his back and can't think of the names of a few others I saw who it looked nothing but was a bad back injury.
  17. Saturday nights in the premier league, change the track shape to produce great racing, slick presentation at the right price and build a lions rider assets then in a few years if it's still running join the elite league, chasing the wooden spoon each season plus knowing the race winner who comes out of the second bend first has driven fans away, how can Leicester compete in the EL with no club assets.
  18. Crackers is the best word to use as I think Saturday evening Sunday afternoon is prime family time, Going midweek will stop most families going due to a late night with school and work in the morning and they are the future of the sport. I have past caring if the big boys want to ride here and bored of Poland calling the shots on what goes on in Britain we need to do what's best for British speedway and not worry about Poland.
  19. Not one of my fave tracks but it was not dangerous.Habbin was a softie that wore pink and was scared to mix it there along with a number of others like him. Exeter was a track for the real men for sure I would of loved to have seen a GP there
  20. But Poland moved the posts from just Sunday race nights to Thursday and Fridays this season. The international meeting at Leicester was mid week and a awful crowd to watch to quite good teams. Mid week meetings will have an effect on future fans attending for sure. Friday could of been good
  21. Mid week racing didn't work at Leicester as tried several times before but good luck to those who want to try and make mid week speedway work at Leicester. I think it's a huge gamble to the future of Leicester speedway and its clear whoever is taking over hasn't done there homework.
  22. It's What you want but not the majority of fans who want regular Saturday night speedway which would be in the premier league. Sadly the Elite League is finished as a top league with top riders in it so it's time to take the right step for Leicester speedway and the fans and go premier league.
  23. They wanted a monster 123 but thankfully it didn't happen, I think monster Joe will add another one or two riders to his team to make it happen next season. You cannot ban a main sponsor when so many hangers ons are in the pits at every event. I was a big admirer of Greg sadly that has long gone and I feel he is an embarrassment now since his involvement with monster.
