  1. You are the uneducated one and clearly show it with your remarks and your constant attacks on everything i say, I do know that the paying public need to feel valued and in tough times the promotion need to look at ways of making things affordable for fans with families.
  2. I shop at designer outlets and can buy a designer hoodie fo £20 and designer t-shirts for under £10 sometimes a fiver so for a speedway hoodie it shouldnt be double a designer label price surely ? a haulage company in cheshire that transports bricks ? does the deal come with a lorry driver as promotor.
  3. Tina Did you mean Track changes Mess outside the stadium who too blame. Why 3 promotors over priced merchandise I think they are good topics to discuss
  4. You say a fair few people ? 4 or 5 ? maybe 2 of them will actullay buy one.it seems you dont have a buisness mind either just like those at leicester speedway who fail in promoting the club better. Hoodies could of been knocked out for well under half the £40 price tag, just think how many more fans would buy one for £15, the more you sell the more exposure for leicester speedway, lets not foget alot of people in leicester still dont know speedway has returned. £15 hoodies and £5 t-shirts = affordable clothing that many could afford and that = fantastic promoting of leicester speedway £65 coats £40 hoodies, a few hardcore fans will buy = very limited promoting of leicester speedway.
  5. Are they really stupid at leicester, How many do they think they will get rid of at £65 a go when most hardcore fans bought one 2 years ago or even last season. Hoods at £40 each, wow that is crazy money, they should be able to do them for £18 and make a decent profit.
  6. So do we take it that glynn had Nothing to do with the changes made and thats why he is no commenting on it ? If so who was in charge of the recent changes to the track.
  7. SPEEDWAY star Darcy Ward has been convicted of fleeing police on a motorbike while under the influence of drink and drugs, according to reports. The 20-year-old Poole Pirates rider admitted a string of offences when he appeared in court in his native Australia, The Queensland Times newspaper has reported. Now Pirates promoter Matt Ford fears his top rider may have problems getting a visa to return to the UK for the start of the season next month. And he said Ward is “struggling with fame” and “needs professional help” to get his life back on track. Ford, who said Ward has not contacted him about the court case, said: “People that can almost walk on water in sport do struggle. “No one can condone what Darcy has done. He has been incredibly silly and I think the sooner he seeks professional help, the better.” The report says Ward had been drinking and smoking marijuana when police attempted to pull him over in his home town of Camira in the early hours of the morning. He is alleged to have fled on an unregistered and uninsured motorbike but was later located by officers. He is reported to have been fined $5,500, and been given a two-year disqualification. When contacted by the Daily Echo Newspaper in the UK, Pirates team manager Neil Middleditch said: “It is what most young people do these days isn't it? He wasn't racing or putting anyone else's life at risk on the track. “It is just another silly mistake from Darcy - hopefully it won't have an effect on his riding.” Ward hit the headlines last May when he was on trial at Bournemouth Crown Court for sexual assault, following a complaint made in August 2011. He was cleared by a jury and spoke afterwards of what a burden the case had been. In October last year he was rushed to hospital with a bleed on his brain after a fight outside a pub in Sturminster Marshall. In December Matt Ford said he was delighted to have signed Ward for another year but urged him to "grow up" . Ward, twice world under-21 champion, is due to fly to England in the next few weeks and is expected to attend a Press and Practice Day on March 27, followed by the first meeting of the season, away to Swindon, the following day. But on Monday Echo Sport reported he was already facing problems with his visa. Guidelines from the UK Border Agency indicate Ward could now be refused entry because of his conviction. The relevant section says there can be “discretionary refusal of entry clearance where a person has been convicted of or admitted an offence for which they have received a non custodial sentence.” This is his first season as a full-time Grand Prix rider and he also rides professionally in Poland. How to make headlines in the wrong way, You would of thought living with someone like middlo would have had a great effect on directing him on the right road like crump, hancock and others took to showcase there given talent. However after reading what middlo said he may of been better off staying at matt ford's house,i am not a fan of matt ford but at least he had the balls to admit what his star rider did was very wrong. Lucky he is not racing in the states as he wouldnt get in over there, we are a soft touch nation and let anyone in it seems.
  8. The latter is a common way of becoming a promotor i have noticed. I know a few who have become a promotor and not invested any money. How much money has hemsley & jones put in of there own money ? How much is the new promotor going to put into the club, these are all questions that we may never know the answer but to answer your question anyone can become a promotor if you know the right people.
  9. Glyn mentioned wanting to move it 5 metres in at both ends, it was moved about 4 feet, just over a metre,Thats why i wonder if the track changes were taken out of glyns hands as he doesnt seem to be in the pics or was he? I cannot see what difference moving the line in 4ft would help in creating another racing line, had it been even 3 or 4 metres then that would make a difference and provide another racing line. Do you honestly think i or anyone else would moan if the track was right and could see good racing each week.
  10. Lorry driver ? nothing wrong with an honest job like that but your right what input will that give the club on the media and commercial front that is badly needed. So you say he had a big input into the track changes, does that mean glyn has little say now on changes. I will wait to pass judgement on the track until i see it but i hope my doubts are proven wrong.
  11. Glyn hasnt said he is happy with the changes or feels it will make a massive difference plus he ended with i wont make any comments, So i guess he is not fully happy then and after what happpened before i understand why he wont make any further comments. I dont see moving 4 or 5 feet in would make a big difference but time will tell, its make or break for leicester speedway as it seems even most of the hardcore fans wont except a 3rd year of follow the leader.
  12. Oxford had a good shape but the problem with BP is its more like an over sized cycle speedway track that doesnt work, hate to say it and i will get abuse but the work should of been done the end of october and tried and tested it over the winter months to check it was right, not a couple weeks before the first meeting.
  13. [ Only if you have it right going into the corner, will opening the exit work,
  14. ONLY One rider, what about the other 6 riders ? and the 1500+ fans who walked away because of poor racing? Are you serious have you ever rode a speedway bike ? sounds unlikely with your views If this is the case then lecester speedways future is really at risk
  15. I feel sorry for volty and those who have bought season tickets if this is the case. Did they Not, are you really sure the lions 1-7 all agreed or was it a management decision that made that statement, Tell me Why was lasse and the others on the track after nearly every race trying to get another line if they were happy the way the track was then. You and several others will believe what you read in the programme others will believe what they see with there own eyes and what they hear with there own ears.
  16. So how do you work out that what they have done will make it better and give it more racing lines? have you ever been on a bike, because by what people have said about the very minor changes that it will make little difference because it needed major work doing back in october to correct a DH big cycle speedway track.
  17. You really do a great job at making yourself look really silly to the educated people on this forum.
  18. Tina that would be telling So you say but doubtful however you do make me laugh. What are your views on the latest changes of the track ? are you concerned or are you happy as you are an expert as you make out
  19. Again you are Badly informed or i guess you know nothing as it clearly seems and make things up to sound like you do, I know several promotors who have great interest in looking on here to read what is said about there club and other clubs. So please dont assure about something that isnt true.
  20. seems like you were dragged up, nice use of words on a website used by young people.
  21. nob,I take it english is Not your first language
  22. 1) I said very doubtful 2) without the paying public he is out of buisness 3) I dont think the changes will make alot of difference but we will see. You need to stop talking crap hurricanes,I dont write what i dont know about like some on here.
  23. Where did i say that ? Riders expect a decent track and thats a fact. The problem is that what DH says goes, he is not a person who takes advice easily from those in the know or anybody else. I have not seen what they have done to turns one and two yet but what i hear its a joke and will make No difference but until i see it i cant make a comment.
  24. Yes talented but a role model for kids and the sport then NO
