  1. totally agree this is why the fans have left as they are fed up with putting money in that grasping b******* hands especially when he doesne even pay the dam riders the money they are owed. Very professional. Good Luck next year Lee and Seemond and good riddance all the Bowdens
  2. Barker and Fisher might demand it and rightly so but they dont get paid as the promoter is owing the riders money!
  3. please let this be true although barbie (Bowdens daughter) says it isnt, perhaps he doesnt tell her the whole story!!!!
  4. poor Ben he is caught in a no win situation with a promoter who clearly doesnt know his a** from his elbow
  5. apology accepted cliffeboy, only one promoter that has left us fans feeling badly let down, never mind his loss is your gain cos loads of us now come up to Somerset hence the big drop in crowd numbers at Plymouth, still we can expect to see Mr Bowden and his Barmaid this week there as well because thats as far as he travels for Devils away matches
  6. blimey cliffeboy you obviously dont know what has been happening at the SBA or have you been going round with blinkers on. Our promoter has single handledly driven loads of supporters away with his total dis-regard for the paying public by not investing a single penny over the last 6 years on any infra structure, decent toilets etc etc oh and dont even get me started on his off track antics or the abusive language we have been a witness from his family on many occasions. Roll on next season and we are all keeping fingers criossed that the rumours are true!!! Many Many of us devils supporters now chose to drive up to the OTA where we can enjoy your facilities and hospitality
  7. and us devils supporters can support our team without putting any more money in our greedy promoters pockets
  8. we definately need new blood, my money would be on Ben Barker or Josh Auty, Tai has had his chance and is just an arrogant little lad who thinks he deserves to be there by right, Adam Roynon is another lad who is coming good and I am sure there are more out there
  9. Hopefully this week will see a positive outcome and there will be loud cheers for the leaving of Bowden, yes he brought speedway back to Plymouth but he has had 6 years of us saying thank you in the way of massive crowds through the gates increasing his bank balance and what has he given back to us, sweet FA in regards to manky toilets, no supporters club, track facilities on the dangerous side ie unsafe fencing and grandstand, electric cables hanging off fencing, no lighting on exit by vans etc thats just fir starters! and if you dare to mention any of this to the great man he bans you from the track! brilliant PA
  10. no as I stated its hell of a lot more than £500 but I suppose he was aking for at least some of it to be paid
  11. well Barbie it seems you dont know much of what is going on in your Dads world because a certain rider was having a right old go at your Dad last night in full view of spectators shouting for £500 cash in unpaid wages of which he is owed a hell of a lot more and your Dad was still trying to get away with only offering him £300, I understand you sticking up for your Dad but I am afraid his principles stink!
  12. and if the captain dares to stand up to Bowden he has his captaincy stripped off him and given to another rider!
  13. hmm one rider has had 3 cheques "lost" in the post according to twitter
  14. Bowden also closed the supporters club as he said it wasnt being run "professionally" and after he took it over it closed after 3 weeks. as to riders being paid just look on twitter and you will see this is not the case, two weeks ago they had crisis talks and again last week when they were asked to take a pay cut (a cut of nothing is nothing surel) This man has taken the cream off the top for years and while no one can blame him for making money the complete dis respect he has for the fans ie the two finger salute to them at meetings, disgusting toilets, health and saftey hazards round the track where he hasnt put a penny in improvements relying on the dedicated supporters to help maintain track etc, yes we are grateful he has brought speedway back to Plymouth but the fans are leaving in their droves and wont be back while Bowden has anything to do with it, Good Luck to any new promoter out there, support is waiting in the wings! oh and the man is too tight to even buy the lollies for the kiddies race!
  15. definately, Ben and others are owed money the sooner Bowden goes the better for everyone. Support for a new promoter is ready and waiting and we will burn the dam bluejacket of Bowdens as a farewell gesture
  16. and on a more positive note in Tims life he has just got engaged, so congratulations to him and Georgie Simmons
  17. could someone send me a link please, ta very much
  18. never mind the whys and wherefors I for one am very pleased with our starting side and cant wait for Friday to see the lads in action, got to give credit where its due (although it pains me to credit that man with anything) the promoter seems to have moved quickly in getting Cory on side after Steve Boxhalls no show at press and pracice
  19. hmmm done the deal on Sunday but it appeared in Sundays edition of the Independent, lets hope this isnt another of Bowdens little fibs!!!
