  1. not sure what you're trying to achieve with your comments
  2. wow, that's powerful stuff. Overriding this would show, in my opinion, a level of something I don't want to say beginning with c
  3. did i read it was a 7 45 kick off? Surely 7 latest would have been better. In fact a single dual purpose match would have made more sense, I'm sure that's happened before.
  4. and thats what matters, to about 800 people for about 2 days. no one else gives a flying one
  5. we never have a full team, always carrying at least 2, we carried 3 at home. It'll be 6 tonight
  6. 60 plus points i wd imagine. If thats anyone's idea of a good night out....
  7. seems churlish to complain after the season we've had but our young uns have blown so hot and cold this season.
  8. If I were Poole, I''d make sure the second leg was a viable meeting, give themselves 6/8 points to make up or even diehards would give it a miss if it were a dead rubber. Thats what Charlie Knott would have done anyway
  9. why wd we want the second leg when we'd be 30 or more points behind. Best just get a single figure win at home and pretend the 2nd leg isn't happening
  10. no, you're correct, you would imagine it cd be fixed with good prep though
  11. talking about gp 1 and 2 not league
  12. You have to construct a whole track from scratch at Cardiff. At Odsal you could pull the line in temporarily for a fraction of the cost. Daresay it would be cheaper to hire, cheaper to stage, better track, better location.
  13. as a Redcar fan, kind of dreading the final. Hope we at least get the home leg 1st and try for a 4/6 point win followed by a 30 pt loss away. Poole fans must be quaking in their boots, not
  14. Worky, Redcar, Scunny, Oxford, BV, Plymouth - there's always hope where there's a will
  15. don't know if any of you Bandit guys have seen this https://berwickliteraryfestival.com/event/roddy-mcdougall/
  16. for me its ££, and the reason i don't attend league football (although they don't seem to be missing me) at the risk of starting a whole new row - £12/14 max and find a way of making it viable through reduction of expenses - not easy i know. I don't care if they go round in rattly old JAPS. Its the market level and you can not sell something above the market value. Pubs are finding this out now - £5 a pint versus 4 excellent bottles for £6 at Tesco, people are staying in. Even cinemas are having to drop prices. Hard to coax people out and I'm one of them
  17. I wouldn't worry, the rain's gonna but the mokkers on everything for the foreseeable
  18. as should have Swindon as should Peterborough now and, sadly Edinburgh must be added to the list
  19. Ian, have you seen the pictures of the houses, there's absolutely no way speedway will survive the NIMBY onslaught, despite the track being there donkeys years. Any new tracks are going to have to be in the middle of nowhere like Worky. Hope you're well
