Dyer can't score all 45 or 46 points on his own without their top man many teams become ordinary -
just returning to the original poster question if i may i think the answer is as has been mentioned - its not a traditional speedway thing to make tracks in places like this and i would expect it to be a non starter especially in the current financial climate I'm afraid things don't look too good at Norwich either - there are too many objectors in influential positions and not enough expertees amongst the potential developers. They could do worse than persuade Tony Mole to get involved. In fact BSPA should pay him to seek out and develop such opportunities.
-
an independent ruling body would deal with this sort of matter without links to individual tracks, riders, manufacturers so that sensible decisions are arrived at. Currently the sport is essentially leaderless and makes knee jerk decisions..
-
which is why a ruling body independent of bspa is vital or else every dcision will be driven by self interest
-
I'm all for back to basics and so should be the promoters because they could actually make some money!! In turn more people would want to open tracks. For me we need a body, as independent as possible, to rule the game and have more or less absolute authority. Maybe 6 people, not currently involved with clubs - ex riders, ex refs, ex promoters, whoever. Not paid positions but maybe expenses.
-
the very same riders to whom i would be now showing the door
-
when i was a lad i often didn't know who'd won the saturday world final til the star came out on wednesday!! honest!
-
i think this sums up the whole point of this post and despite all the nasty comments from some i think it was a discussion worth having and i sincerely hope someone of influence is persuaded. People talk about crap product but lesser riders are just as exiting to watch as gp stars most of the time. In any case this is where i bow out of the discussion - thanks for the positive comments and support from most. Few of the critics have offered an alternative. Maybe £10 isnt right but neither is 17
-
you got any ideas then or just another smart mouth? sorry but you're making points that were made and dealt with ages ago on this post
-
i'm getting bored with folks who havent read earlier posts sorry i've made my points i cant go over it again and again costs would need to be lowered obviously investment? are you having a laugh? clubs are threatening to go bust for supplying an air fence

another track farce and price rise too no wonder the stadiums are packed -
"For years GB has been a PL country. So run a PL standard league. If it means a few "names" aren't riding here, fine - they don't particularly want to anyway. That why the Elite League has disappeared up its own backside by cancelling the KO Cup and half the B fixtures." i can read that - it seems quite sensible except half the pl clubs can't make ends meet either so it needs ideas to lessen costs to achieve a reasonable entrance fee commensurate with a sport that attracts the number of people it currently does THEN try and build things up from there
-
still no ideas then???? plenty smart mouth comments but no ideas if they'll ride for the money on offer - they're performing in front of 5 - 800 people for gods sake
-
its attracting small crowds because they are the smallest clubs besides its not the model - there would be current pl riders too but riding for money promotors can afford
-
here we go again with the criticism WHERES YOUR IDEAS? get more GP riders pay more air fares charge £20, 25, 30
-
yes all very funny but Springsteen comes round every few years - its a special event - speedway is weekly and not always much fun therefore you pay god knows what for gig tickets because THE MARKET WILL STAND IT the market will not stand 15,16,17 quid for a speedway match every week its dead easy for people to make funny/smart comments but not so easy to come up with answers
-
but none of those things you mention have trouble attracting spectators so its actually you argument that is silly ok maybe not 10 but no more than 12
-
semi pro is the only way to go for el and pl in britain. theres nothing to worry about - the racing will be fine you dont need the big names
-
extra quid for adults, 50p for kids to contribute to airfence
-
in fact Redcars admission goes up next week i believe! That'll pack em in!
