Fair points - i doubt many new fans are won over by endless delays and boring races on TV a highlights programme would avoid this and show the sport in its best light but then they'd turn up for the real thing! And that needs adressing I myself can't afford to attend regularly at 16/17 plus a week

He can't go off half cocked with wild speculation - none of the posters on here have any idea what the delay is if indeed it is a delay and not just waiting to be announced at a time that suits Sky without Mr Rising's publication we''d be left with swivel eyed crackpots talking ill informed rubbish

any survey about speedway needs to ask only one question and it should be directed at those who do not attend and it is: how can we attract you to speedway?

i watched my speedway at Cleveland Park and reckoned that really good riders could master it while pure throttle merchants struggled

yeah - you have failed to read the whole post in an attemp to make a cheap comment. They deserve every penny and more but it should be going in their back pockets not on machinery which 90 pc of fans neither know nor care about. Keep pedalling you allude to football, cricket, darts, etc which is fair enough but they attract good crowds - speedway doesn't threrfore a price reduction is one way of regenerating the sport - however it needs changes in the cost of machinery and other things to accomodate this. You say 17pds is a good price however not enough people agree with you sufficiently to actually shell it out

that doesnt mean its wrong - just that the riders are being paid too much I think thye deserve every penny they get but its a market place and currently money is going on gas bills and train fares make the equipment cheaper - i dont care or know how but its got to be possible - then price drops are possible it requires creative thinking and the courage to carry it through so it wouldn't ever happen

I'm afraid you do not understand the term "loss leader" a loss leader would be, say, a shop selling milk at 10p a pint just to get them there with the hope that they would buy other things when there its not generally used these days - buyers are a little too savvy its not a relevant term for this situation and does not in any way describe it accurately.
