  1. when did this dropping people left right and centre start? All for the sake of what? I don't think its healthy and i don't think its fair. Obviously it needs to happen very occasionally but it seems like everyones turning into Poole.
  2. really difficult to answer but the one thing the game desperately desperately needs is a neutral body to steer things forward - the annual get togethers are no more than fudge and compromise sessions to appease individuals. We need a clear unified direction from such a group. Again - same as you i could go on all day but my big bugbear is the cost to get in.
  3. i would love to think this is true - there seems room for improvement whereas we have some riders who have reached their level and will go no further does anyone know if it is possible and how it could happen?
  4. i have copies of Rubber Soul, Sgt Pepper and Abbey Rd are any of these records?
  5. Harris' main trouble in my opinion is that being an indifferent gater means that he often has to work very hard for points great for us - wearing for him and machinery i would think there are names from the past who would have been much more succesful with better gating prowess
  6. well you're not bitter and twisted like me - beside no one's abusing him - just wondering if he's up to it - general feeling is not but we'll see
  7. i couldn't perform at the standard required for the Bears, the Boro, The Arctic monkeys or anyone else but you can still have an opinion
  8. if someone had cost me 5k by being an idiot i'd find it hard to keep calm and so would most of the pontificators on here he has been punished and may be punished further so stop with the witch hunt
  9. these are not speedway's demograph or so we are told so it doesn't really matter
  10. fair comment but cricket is not desperate for crowds, coverage and credibility once again i'm embarrased to be a speedway fan
  11. i sympathise with people who have problems dealing with metric but really it is much much easier centimetres you will see in shops, etc but not in engineering where its millimetres and metres
  12. Dear Orion i am unaware of TWK making himself look stupid in previous posts you, however without the good grace to acknowledge that you misread the post's tone, have made yourself look monumentally stupid and unpleasant

I am so pleased that you recognize your moronic state though - that should be a help when you go to school. Run along now - there's a good boy. aren't mods supposed to delete clowns like wrench - i've had posts pulled for a fraction of the offence caused by him
  14. random bloke or journalist with inside knowledge, mmmm.....
  15. actually when i saw the topic i assumed tickets were going to be free or at least heavily discounted would look much better if the stadium was full (er) already being paid by Sky so not really losing out
  16. unlike some doom mongers on here your word is good enough for me. Do you get the feeling Mr R that some folk think everything's your fault
  17. v much doubt the bears 1 to 7 will stay as it starts for long
  18. longer term, motorsport should form a lobby to try and get parliament to encourage local authorities to make areas for motorsport in their local development plans, much in the way that they designate industrial areas, housing areas etc that way everyone knows the score. Just about every local authority has a tucked away area suitable for such things, like former steelworks at Redcar and Newport, green field sites like Scunny, etc What about national bodies like ACU? Do they still exist? Shouldn't this be part of their remit?
  19. i'm not sure recent events show a pattern i think its just the same old same old - firefighting and scrabbling round for new venues I think it will always be like this to be honest but take heart from Somerset, Redcar, Scunthorpe, etc etc - if the will and cash is there you can succeed in opening new venues but i think city centre venues will become the exception - might not be a bad thing Silencers are a bit of a nuisance aren't they but really this is an important area to develop to keep the nimbys quiet
  20. the late comedienne Linda Smith called it 'housework on ice'
