you can have the last word - whenever you're ready good night
-
and you look like the deputy head of geography at an inner city comprehensive and your profile is "hilarious" and its affecting not effecting good night
-
how about a few pros from you - you say I'm negative but i post as many pros and good ideas as i can think of you on the other hand appear to just knock everybody back like i said before - how about some ideas from you instead of picking holes in other's ideas do i go to speedway? I should imagine I've seen 800 speedway meetings and ridden a 2 valve Jawa at Felton for a short unsuccesful while so i think i know a bit to answer your question though in all honesty i don't at the moment because i can not afford it but thank you for asking
-
any chance of a positive post - like what you might suggest rather than just telling everyone how wrong they are
-
good idea - i think i would limit it to 2 but yes good thinking
-
the race average would be more useful - risedrs taking anywhere between 3 and 6 rides in a meeting the 4 ride average doesn't make sense or a points percentage average prehaps once again the Danish model of squads and graded riders seems the most sensible way forward and squads would not have to cost more if riders were paid by appearance and points money

I an not putting down speedway i love it as much as the next man but TIMES CHANGE people won't put up with it any more - which is what i said in my post that you didn;t bother reading in you insatiable quest to be a smart ass besides as i clearly explained guests were few and far between - if that were still the case perhaps it wouldn't be an issue but its not the case and it is an issue in fact its not an issue its an anachronistic farce
-
God you're hard work we used to put up with all manner of crap in the old days - diehards still do theres not enough die hards left though unless you think there is by the way i watched speedway at Cleveland Park and saw about 500 meetings there the number of guests i saw could be counted on the fingers of one or two hands same with weather cancellations I dunno - go figure as the yanks say
-
most matches have no meaning when a guest is involved its all fairly meaningless really
-
the KOC isn't a league title but that has meaning i was just trying to suggest a compromise - i myself think the play offs work well as a crowd puller but it just feels like a swizz sometimes
-
the league winners are the champions and the top 4 go into a play off championship - call it what you will that way its win win both camps get what they want
-
squads squads squads

A STRONG independent body is needed - one with the cojones to upset individual promoters for the greater good
-
actually your post illustrates that there is some concensus: presentation, pricing, etc etc - just as you say above yes its a bigger question how to address these things but its not exactly rocket science and if there was more direction rather than individual interests it should be possible the very very first thing any such direction should address is costs. Its the same in any business - you live or die by cost control.

or when Lasse Bjerre pulledout of the Rye House v Redcar meeting dur to injury then rode at Wolves later the same day ha ha

PL fan here - i loved last night
-
NL STANDARD riders in the EL perhaps
-
no i think some of the fans think NL/PL is better in some respects. I'm sure the promoters know what they're doing. My own opinion is that EL is a dead duck.
-
perhaps its not what they want because NL/PL is a better product in their view to which they are fully entitled
-
agreed again put your tin hat on though
-
agreed
-
yeah, i think the fan base started deteriorating first to be honest
