  1. I had a soft spot for Cradley Heath RayStadia but I'm a Middlesbro lad as Tsunami says - just trying to be helpful - it is a forum you're right and you can say many things. You can even run a lame joke about Slough for about 3 months but you can't make serious accusations of dishonesty. And you did. Why the mods haven't responded - you need to ask them. Perhaps they're not fully aware of their legal obligations. Anyway despite all of the above i really wish Exeter all the best - and Cradley for that matter - two proper speedway towns
  2. to be fair it probably was used for the venture but ran out - legal fees are high regardless of whose money it is. I'm not quite sure what you are trying to get at but without evidence I'd leave it there if i were you
  3. i believe the sum was around 250k and although that's a handsome sum it doesn't go far on legal fees
  4. the money will have some kind of executor who will have to give permission for its use so its unlikely anything illegal has occured as SCB has ponted out - you can't just say what you want in public
  5. you must have at least a basic grasp of the law have you heard of libel or slander? Silly remark to be honest
  6. you do know that saying such things on here is akin to saying them in public and may render you liable an extraordinary thing to say
  7. unless the issue of costs is urgently addressed this scenario will repeat accross the leagues
  8. doesn't look to me as though he ever went to school
  9. I know it sounds stupid and simplistic but can't bikes be designed to not disintegrate with mechanical failure - my car doesn't do this??? Isn't this one of those things that should be looked at for costs etc
  10. To be fair there are 2 PL clubs in Scotland, 1 just outside and several more within 2/3 hours drive I would not have thought it was an issue what may be an issue perhaps is the lack of a Linlithgow type facility and a NL presence
  11. i'll certainly be making the pilgrimage TWK you would be welcome to come along - i'll just nip through the tunnel and get you
  12. pl fans have to get used to employers from el making them miss meetings
  13. well i can certainly remember riders being given time off to sit mechanics exams, etc and Geoff Pusey tearing over the M62 on a motorbike to make a 730start at Cleveland Park because he had to work riders used annual leave or had understanding bosses
  14. when i started watching Teesside in 1968 i don't believe any of the riders were full time - when did this happen? crowds of 500 can not fund full time wages
  15. or maybe the Somerset management?? at the end of the day we've heard everything there is to say on this its just rehashing old comments - its over
  16. if you knew anything you'd know they dont have the brains its over now anyway - unsatisfactory all round but its over
  17. there are rules about the timing of protests are you suggesting people should be able to protest any time they want allowing protests at any time would be sending the wrong message No, the right outcome was arrived at, however perhaps warnings or fnes should have been levied otherwise the topic is over really
  18. just when you think everythings been explained....... how can you pull a fast one when the names of rr riders are agreed BY EVERYBODY before the match
  19. NOTHING is being swept under the carpet - the rules have been applied. NOBODY cheated - it was incompetence all round all 3 parties agreed the r/r riders beforehand - lets not forget that - the most pertinent fact here lets move on for Gods sake otherwise its just tennis - this is wrong - no its right
  20. i've been saying this on here for ages with very little support there are 2 clear benefits 1. gives NL riders a chance to move up and develop 2. lower costs maybe even a third benefit - the likes of Stoke, Mildenhall, IOW may be tempted to rejoin the PL with lower costs
  21. we know you're a bit miffed - calm down it'll get sorted and if its not sorted in your favour its not the end of the world is it you're just getting more and more agitated and theres plenty on here who'll wind you up more Redcar made a mistake, the ref made a mistake and it appears Somerset may have made a mistake by not protesting at the right time lets keep calm
  22. ONE Brit in the 1 to 5 - how about 1 foreigner in the 1 to 5
  23. i said this 2 years ago - basic bikes, tenner to get in, semi pro riders, ride at the rates on offer or clear off somewhere else, stop flying people around Europe to ride in front of 500 people, improve tracks not bikes I got called an idiot but we could lose 6 tracks at the end of this season - there are loads of PL riders who should be EL and NL who should be PL and development league who should be NL = all held up by using foreign imports to prop up the win at all costs attitude that permeates the sport
