surely 2nd div clubs invited up would find it too much of a financial risk. RH have rich owners, as do Glasgow, but most don't. One big league with team strengths v strictly controlled jumps up and down as the most obvious way forward. I do not buy the lack of riders argument.

I don't think Worky. are alone in struggling - they might be ok for next year if div 2 divests itself of the riches it can not afford and those riches move to div1 and abroad -

no ts ht8, only used 2ce, rider can only be replaced 1ce? 1 guest only till its phased out altogether? how about use number 8s if both teams using rr for riders of similar calibre, e.g. heat leader, 2nd string? I don't know - just ideas -
ok I'll bite once - and then no more a - they are NOT crap - I'd have them both back at Redcar in a heartbeat. b - I have enough backbone to not have to belittle people to make myself feel bigger

well yes but if 5/600 is the crowd levels in div 2 the costs need to be cut - amateur/semi pro riders. You'd be surprised how popular a constant team line up would be also even without big names Cook must be costing a bomb - the likes of Worky can't afford the likes of him
-
extremely disrespectful of two decent performers - I suspect both are a better man than you
-
to be honest you don't come out of this well - a distant second i'd say

yes but that one rule is not popular. If its dropped I will drive from Heaton to Sunderland and ferry him to Redcar or Brough Park. I would point out that the nearest NL track to him and me in Belle Vue - I'd love an NL track to support nearer home. -
I believe the Danes operate five man teams - clearly thats not six but nor is it 7!
-
seems to work elsewhere and you save more than travel costs as would think all riders have a guaranteed fee however small so you will lose that too I thought the only reason this was being considered was to make up a perceived shortfall if du/dd was restricted or abolished myself I believe there is no shortage and that there are juniors and foreigners to utilise

actually - in response to the digs at TWK and other non attenders - its those people who should be listened to most closely obviously because they need to be enticed back. Those who continue to attend no matter what, well, perhaps you'll put up with anything! For myself FWIW guests and double points turn me right off. When I see guests being used in NL I shake my head Agree about the Dean Machine - talks proper sense 99 pc of the time. I expect there are other ex riders, maybe not on here equally switched on. -
so every time an idea is suggested you have to have an eight page document to explain the minutiae and mechanics of how it would work. FWIW I would want a Hearn type who may turn the whole thing into a tacky circus. It may succeed by I wouldn't want to see it myself

the Owen brothers only rode for Hull when they weren't busy with Newcastle Wilcock rode for Coventry when he wasn't busy with Middlesbrough thats the difference - first division teams had number 8,9, 10 from second div teams - that was ok so top league teams have a 1 to 7 then have 8,9 and 10 to call on from second div in the event of absence over and above a rr facility. Used to work ok
-
of course they are underpaid - of course they are. But if only 500 are watching what can you do??
-
i disagree - it should be a body independent of the promoters

i think its fair to say STMP is in a less salubrious area. Can't see houses going up roundabouts - i think its safe for the foreseeable!
-
well sometimes there's no choice but I wish they'd shorten the straights a bit. Its a nice stadium, a good facility but I've always disliked the track, although its certainly better than it was mad to think Ben Hopwoods 1 point prob won it haha. Well done - good night all in all - home fans happy which I like to see even as a bear
-
great night - well done Diamonds. Sorry I know I'm going to get crucified but its still awful to see experienced blokes struggle round the corners.
