  1. we don't now have people as dominant as those you name. Plus it was abandoned as an idea under protest from the big 5. And in those days tracks were prepared for racing, usually with a bit of dirt - much less chance of catching up and overtaking these days. I wouldn't be in favour myself
  2. well there was someone on here mouthing off who's a know nothing gosh*ite - if thats where its coming from. Sincerely hope its not true
  3. don't know where you're getting this from
  4. trouble is you can't be flexible or use common sense because there's too many that cheat and bend rules - don't blame the rule makers they're dealing with some slippery characters. We could fill a full thread with the flankers that have been pulled over the years.
  5. Barker? haha. If we've paid an annual loan fee for Kus we won't be booting him out. He'll be at reserve soon too.
  6. i think he means not letting us have who we want as guests - but rules are rules. Listen when Barker's fit and Jorgensen's in place we'll be ok.
  7. loads of people think it, Ian, but no one has the balls to do anything about it, Colin
  8. if bikes were slowed down and tracks were prepared for racing we wouldn't need gimmicks the sport could sand on its merits
  9. and by extension a more manageable/affordable div 2 with fewer non GB riders. Fine by me.
  10. When something is wrong this promotion fix it - i can't understand the bitching that has gone on, a bit of faith needed.
  11. sometimes i wish the fourth lap wasn't happening - all 4 spread out over half a lap just stick the bleedin chequered flag out!
  12. begs the question why he wasn't, as an asset, included from the start
  13. We've all got them Dave, don't go down that road again! Stood next to a couple last night. Although the crowd was down it didn't look too bad??
  14. with kus at that level we'd be better off trying to improve bukkhave - an asset. this could be a decent side next year
  15. crowd didn't look too bad to be fair. One man team but Jordan Stewart is going to be a good rider, the Andersons aren't bad but the rest...not so sure. I suppose the main weak link is MK but we kind of knew that right from the start.
  16. promised my partner's kids now - otherwise i'd have stayed away. Be plenty of room for them to run about
  17. ominously? FFS yeah, you can't get on the site, we're shutting down
  18. half the friggin league threatens to quit every year
  19. haven't you got a track record in being indiscrete? Rather inflammatory statement.
  20. Great post from Hawk - exactly my thinking. I was just thinking the other night about where we sit in world rankings and yes around Germany i would say although with some fantastic talent coming through. We do well to have such a good league structure in those circumstances
  21. post on the local facebook group - someone living near 4 lane ends who doesn't normally hear the speedway posted that there sounds like a chav scooter rally going on somewhere asking if anyone knew what it was!
  22. 1 or 2 NL riders in each team - maybe more, maybe 6 man teams. There wasn't going to be enough riders for BL2 back in the day - within 3 years they were breeding world class talent
  23. i remember when Poole went ** up - i was sorry to lose a track i didn't take the piss out of fans who had lost their track and team to support. They were a cinderella club for years, along with Cradley. People should have more respect for smaller clubs.
