The continuing decline of Speedway
ch958 replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
trouble is you can't be flexible or use common sense because there's too many that cheat and bend rules - don't blame the rule makers they're dealing with some slippery characters. We could fill a full thread with the flankers that have been pulled over the years. -
Barker? haha. If we've paid an annual loan fee for Kus we won't be booting him out. He'll be at reserve soon too.

i think he means not letting us have who we want as guests - but rules are rules. Listen when Barker's fit and Jorgensen's in place we'll be ok. -
loads of people think it, Ian, but no one has the balls to do anything about it, Colin
-
if bikes were slowed down and tracks were prepared for racing we wouldn't need gimmicks the sport could sand on its merits
-
and by extension a more manageable/affordable div 2 with fewer non GB riders. Fine by me.

When something is wrong this promotion fix it - i can't understand the bitching that has gone on, a bit of faith needed.

sometimes i wish the fourth lap wasn't happening - all 4 spread out over half a lap just stick the bleedin chequered flag out! -
begs the question why he wasn't, as an asset, included from the start
-
with kus at that level we'd be better off trying to improve bukkhave - an asset. this could be a decent side next year
-
ominously? FFS yeah, you can't get on the site, we're shutting down
-
half the friggin league threatens to quit every year
-
haven't you got a track record in being indiscrete? Rather inflammatory statement.

Great post from Hawk - exactly my thinking. I was just thinking the other night about where we sit in world rankings and yes around Germany i would say although with some fantastic talent coming through. We do well to have such a good league structure in those circumstances -

1 or 2 NL riders in each team - maybe more, maybe 6 man teams. There wasn't going to be enough riders for BL2 back in the day - within 3 years they were breeding world class talent -

i remember when Poole went ** up - i was sorry to lose a track i didn't take the piss out of fans who had lost their track and team to support. They were a cinderella club for years, along with Cradley. People should have more respect for smaller clubs. -

you really are full of sh8t -it gets right on my wick. Great - Poole are rich and well supported. Play yourselves every week. You need a league - an affordable one for Redcar and others otherwise you'll have a four team Div 1. -
Keith Chapman - Failure or Success?

couldn't agree more - start from scratch is the only way. NL seems to be doing ok - finding talent and running some big clubs. Lose anyone who can't commit to British meetings whenever they take place. People like you must know how to make bikes cheaper. I for one lose complete interest in a meeting where guests appear. Its a bloody plague these days. -
tbh i don't know why, according to Charles. Wright, we threw all the money at BB; why didn't we throw it at Wright - more reliable and infinitely better character by the sound of it. I wouldn't be wanting him back next year
