stop talking sense - its obviously not wanted on here. Let those who are moaning about no 'stars' pay for one themselves cos nobody else will -it would be suicide. Theres only one side of this argument with its head in the clouds

I am real-when i started watching thats exactly what happened. The people who need to get real are those taking money out of the sport that isn't there. I wish it was and i wish they could. looking at your profile that was yonks before you were born

get a job, p/t if necessary, use half days, whatever. Do your own engines, get a bike rack for the car. The money isn't there to give them a living and we need to wake up to that pronto!

but Redcar can't afford the team they currently have

not this again

"culprit". I know someone who "loses" something every time they go on holiday. They never find the cuprit for that either

Different people to us, the crowds came before the stadiums and the stars, but they have capitalised on their situation. Government money? Allsorts

to get the "big names" back would require funding to an alrming degree. It might pay dividends, it might not pay dividends, therefore it is a gamble. There isn't a promoter around who would take that risk. I'm afraid the only option is what some describe as dilution but others would see as stable teams with roughly the same 7 blokes every week that they can support. Unless someone has a third way. But mark my words, if it involves investment of cash up front it will not happen. -

I love the sport, am a critic and attend sporadically. Why would that drive anyone to despair, I'm a customer and its up to the supplier to tempt me in. They could do that with me if there were no guests, the entrance fee was more sensible, the bikes were slower and the tracks designed for overtaking -

took the words out of my mouth. I'll say this again for the umpteenth time. First meeting next year is free in return for yr email address. You then bombard them with info, offers, etc. of course when you get them in the product has to be right -
Redcar v Peterborough Thursday

apparently according to the programme we have lost money on every meeting this year. Texter says tonight is above average - around 500. What the absolute fck. When are we going to wake up and make the div 2 affordable. -
Race Nights - What do you think so far?

good points but unlikely that anyone involved in gp would not also be on Polish contracts. I think many would prefer guaranteed meetings in the UK than be part of a squad in Poland and no guarantees. Big decisions need to be made and they will not be popular -

the big names haven't come back because of £££. And don't say if you bring them back crowds will rise because there's no guarantee and people will go bust finding out. -

You have my sympathy, it would be quite wrong if clubs like Buxton can not function at the third tier. We really really must severely weaken the Championship as soon as possible to take those clubs you mention out of the NL. The third tier is vital to the future of the sport and must be affordable if not completely amateur. You can earn money by being 6 or 7 in a championship team. Somebody has to have the cojones and brains to sort the structure of this game out.

FFS behave. IMO they need to have a serious think about this finals lark. Yes, we know they know beforehand but fans want fairness. Imagine if Lambert hadn't won last night. Slight tweak needed. Otherwise its a good competition because a good range of nations can compete -
averages (to which we now appear to be the slave) could be weighted in reserve races, or protected heats or whatever. Complicated but worth it.
-
Easy - position Div 2 at Div 2/ NL level and move Birmingham, Easty, CH, and whov=ever up D2 clubs are struggling too - this would help them. Get the D1 riders out of D2 or at least cut them down by allowing only 1 or 2 DU per team At the moment there isn't enough of a gap between D1 and 2
-
I've said it before but again ... with Stewart and the Andersens coming through, as assets too, things look good for next season
-
we don't now have people as dominant as those you name. Plus it was abandoned as an idea under protest from the big 5. And in those days tracks were prepared for racing, usually with a bit of dirt - much less chance of catching up and overtaking these days. I wouldn't be in favour myself

trouble is you can't be flexible or use common sense because there's too many that cheat and bend rules - don't blame the rule makers they're dealing with some slippery characters. We could fill a full thread with the flankers that have been pulled over the years.
