to be honest OBatHB seems a bit of a stirrer, I wouldn't waste time or energy replying just devote your energies to bringing back an historic track for which we would all be grateful
no 6 wd be fine but there wd be riders with no chance of beating the heat leaders
like it was in the 60s and 70s when ht leaders had 9 plus averages because the opposition had riders unable to beat them
seemed to work ok then
would have been good to lower the 2nd div averages more and limit DU/DD with a view to seriously limiting it further in future but its another same old same old and you know what Einstein said.
A former 1st division rider pulled me in at Felton and asked me what i did for a living. It was an office job and he gave up on me thereafter even though i was 19 and proficient in several physical sports (i was fitter than him thats for sure, and stronger). Ken Marshall on the other hand was very encouraging.
in an ideal world
but who is going to gamble huge amounts of cash to bring these people for their teams with zero guarantee crowds would increase and teams folding like dominoes.
First things first, costs have to be controlled to ensure survival then build from there.
No business would do it any other way.
Costs are the only thing a business can really control - anything else has to operate at market level with other entertainments/ sports
land not suitable for housing my post says. The stadium land worth boatloads to them in return for a scraggy bit of land out of town. Just a suggestion like
if the builders could source some land not suitable for housing but ok for a speedway track they could build to their heart's content and Robins could be safe
to be fair, why would they move the structures in if they weren't going to use them. They could have just stonewalled. They're probably relying on noise complaints to shut the place down and build some more ticky tacky boxes, er I mean family homes
