I literally can't understand the mentality, sometimes I genuinely think psychiatric help is needed. Certainly they need to think about their lives. -

get into the top league then along with all the other win at all costs clubs -
we are getting contributions from 2 and 4 that we weren't getting previously; 1,3 and 5 will always contribute. 6 and 7 are doing what's expected generally.

here's one for the old Boro fans. caught the 36 at 650 on Cargo Fleet Lane, got off at the Blind School around 720 and walked down to the sound of the engines warming up. The old faded Domestos advert on the back of the tote board in view. Got in just in time for the parade and Ron Wilson flicking the 50p into the crowd. Can't see many parents allowing an 11 year old doing that alone these days.

Redcar vs. Leicester (The Jube) 15/7/22

in the old days the promotion wdnt announce a missing rider in advance so we can't be sure Charles is fit, you'll find out when you get there -
funny thing is, i occasionally look at a group on FB called Old Cubland Acts From the Past - they're all going belly up too. Changes in lifestyles among the working classes I suppose - dogs and speedway too. I suppose nothing lasts for ever, maybe its over, amateurs only
-
i think its quite common in the lower leagues over there but their elite league is suffering too and they have plenty of 'big names'. Don't they have clubs rather than. promoters?
-
marketing is the last thing at the moment. House in order first. At the moment its best kept as a secret, new bods wouldn't return the way things are
-
completely agree with your 3 points, however - 4 should be finding tracks that aren't going to be sold/ rented at extortionate prices. Clubs based at dog tracks are doomed, if not now then some time in the future Its interesting, some saying spend TV money on getting big names back when (and i realise its difficult) it should be spent on getting a field somewhere and making a Somerset/ Redcar/ Scunny facility. Worky have shown it can be done - expensive but not prohibitive Finally, I don't care how weak teams have to be but the seven should be your seven, anything else is an unmarketable sham
-
no, it hasn't but i just thought with the recent fashion for smaller tracks...the original one was small enough though
-
Crayford's still there but i understand its too small to fit a track in, wd it be smaller than Plymouth?
-
Sadly the death of Bernard Gent has been announced. The best announcer I ever heard, bar none.
-
riding more fixtures remember - and coming up against other top boys less regularly, so yes to a degree.
-
wd more likely need 5 man teams, but it works elsewhere
-
pleased for Roynon, was struggling with us but will score more than either Bickley or Coles
-
needs another 4 teams and I doubt Swindon will be one of them.
-
i would have thought that was ok
-
just bumping this -has anyone got any attendance comments? Obviously Newcastle 300 odd was pretty dire. What's happening at your local track? Is anyone actually pulling decent numbers?
-
behave lads, you've made your points
